i saw lxg yesterday, loved it. the action, characters, and special effects were amazing! esp. the fact that these characters were from classic literature. my fave members were: sawyer, nemo, invisible man, and mina harker. i want to see if i can find the graphic novels that this movie was based on. at the end, there seemed like the people who made the movie were leaving options for a sequel. i don't know if there is going to be, but i hope so!
there was that scene where the league was in venice that confused me. you know how they were sent there to prevent it from sinking? when nemo used a missle to get rid of the bombs below the city, it somehow deactivated the bombs or exploded them anyway. how did that possibly help? wouldn't it just sink the city faster?
so, what did you people think of the movie? here's a personality test i found a little while ago:
Nemo was going to use the missles to stop the earthquake by canceling out the shockwave.
He was using the car as a homing signal to home in on the begining of the shockwave. Once that was done he would fire the missle to create another shockwave to redistribute the original wave. Thus saving the city from being destoyed.
Example: If you toss a rock into a still body of water. The rock will create a water ripple on the surface. Now if you toss another rock ahead of the water ripple, it will create another ripple going in the opposite direction of the first ripple. This will either cancel or repel the original water ripple.
IMO I thought this movie was pretty good. Anything with Stuart Townsend in it can't be that bad.
One of my fav quotes in the movie was when Dorian had just been shot to hell with the machine gun. The assassin said " What are you?" then Dorian replied back saying "i'm complicated." I loved that!
No, you know why they did that because it was just a chance for them to use another 1,000,000.00 into the movie budget those damn money grubers, it's a conspiracy to make us pay more to see the movie theaters
yes, that can be true at times. but you can use your student i.d. to get some money off the normal price or student price which is way cheaper. thanks urot for the careful explanation. so, let me know what your peoples' favorite quotes and scenes were.
quartermaine: "skinner! please be clothed at all time in my presince!"
dorian: "i didn't think i'd get to nail you one more time, but i didn't know it was going to be literal."
hyde: "oh, not the whole thing!"
there was some other funnier quotes that i just can't remember. i guess my favorite scenes were: sawyer appeared at dorian's place, the race to save venice, and when quartermaine saved sawyer at the end before dying.

I saw it on the day it came out and just loved it too. Anything Stuart is in is good. He was great in Trapped, Queen of the Damned and About Adam.
I loved the fight scene between him and Mina too.
alot of my friends think shane is hot, i just think he's a good actor. wonder what movies they *the actors in the league* will be in next? anyone know? isn't sean connery supposed to be in the next indiana jones movie?
saw it last night... not bad it was entertaining. i did like the fact that the charactors were from old novels but there was something... not right. i'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.... it was a good flick
allie tends to feel about it that way too. like some details and friendship stuff were skipped over. as in you'd need to find it out from the graphic novels or something. i hope i can find them.
Just seen it. I liked it but compared to the comics it was well disapointing! id give it 3/5
Anyone no what book Dorian Gray is from?
