 Worried whats this movie?

all i remember is that the movie is about a girl that falls in love with a somewhat slow boy, i think that either she or her mother is a beautician, it is sort of a country movie, the boy ends up being killed by a pair of scissors. sorry i don't remember much but this is driving me crazy.
