Anybody read Sauron Defeated. I found it informative, and loved the Notion Club Papers.

Sauron Defeated is the next book I'm going to read from the History (or I start nr 12 the Peoples of Middle-earth), I think it's quite interesting because of all the Tengwar texts (they were in the Notion Club Papers, right?) and the stuff about the Númenórean language. I love Adûnaic.

You're thinking of the Sillmarillion, or Unfinished Tales.
I saw, in the back of one of JRR's books, that he wrote one more book called "The adventures of Tom Bombadil." I've never seen it, nor heard of it, but i'm interested. Anyone?

[B]where is sauron defeated, a seperate book, in the silmarillion, unfinished tales??
Its a book, all by itself. Type it in your search engine to find out. Its not included in the silmarillion, most of this book is Christopher Tolkien's take on his fathers book. A must for LotR fans, like me!! lolz

I recently again read parts of Sauron Defeated... GREAT book, especially the Nights 66 ff, really enlighting, and all the Adûnaic and Old English bits are fascinating (cf user title ^^)... at the moment the Downfall of Númenor is my fav story of the later ages, so I absolutely enjoyed the texts of Sauron Defeated.

so you enjoy seeing me in pain huh? your sounding very much like feanor
anywhoo turin, where the hell have you gotten too, i know that post is from like months ago but get back ere now, im not joking, i know you cant see this but so!
The title rather refers to the first third of the books which shows the earlier drafts of the End of LoTR where the Ring is destroyed... I didnt read that part ... Sauron didn't really suffer when Númenóre was drowned he laughed and laughed and laughed
And best parts of the book are those with the text-fragments telling about the Shadow of Númenor and the time after its Downfall... Ús swíthe onsitt déathscúa, wóh bith seo woruld, feor nú is Niwelland and so on
