alot really, it has many storys in it, its exactly what it says, storys that were touched upon in other tolkien works that never got fully explained

Basically other tales that come off of the main creation of Middle-Earth, they are mysterious and some things wasn't explained, as Sauron said, Tolkien didn't finish those...so they're unfinished...
