Fake Deaths
How many fake deaths were there throughout the films? 
This is what I can remember without watching them again... i may miss some... --
FOTR
Gandalf spiralling up after breakdancing fight with Saruman.
Frodo getting stabbed.
Gandalf leaping off Orthanc.
Frodo getting stabbed... again.
Gandalf falling from the bridge of Kazad-dum.
Boromir... no wait, he really did die!
TTT
Gandalf again, if you count Frodo's 'dream'.
Orc dude stabbed through stomach by spear.
Pip getting trampled by horse.
Gimli... several times through the fight with the Wargs.
Aragorn... off the edge of the cliff.
Aragorn... down the river.
Poor, poor Haldir!! ~ I included this one, because he doesn't die in the books, so, in essence, it is a fake death!
ROTK
Faramir... sort of.
Merry... after getting hit by Witchy.
Frodo... Shelob's lair.
Gollum... Shelob's lair.
Frodo... falling off the ledge in Mount Doom.
Frodo and Sam... on the edge of Mount Doom.
Erm... from memory, thats all i can think of... anyone else got any more?

And Eowyn... also sort of fake death, being left behind on the battleplain and never seen afterwards save a short shot in Minas Tirith.
