well i tried posting but i have to be more well know...im gonna try summin,
The Hobbit,The F.O.T.R, The T.T, The R.O.T.K in one, for Ł20
and the second is The Silmarillion

For the last question, the books obviously are better than the movies. The books has much more details about every matter, you could know well about the backgrounds, the whys, and everything that has to do with anything in Middle-earth, and while the movies were astounding and wonderful in their holding to the world of Tolkien, there is so much more it can't possibly show.
