 Bilbo Baggins - Also The Pointy Hat Trick

What the hell happened to him in the film? From when he leaves his party to seeing Frodo in Rivendell it has been 18 years, he has hardly aged. Then from Rivendell to going to the Grey Havens it has been one year, and he is the most decrepid looking thing i have ever seen, infact i got a longing to see Gollum again.

The Pointy Hat Trick

Yesterday i was looking for an old CD, and upon searching my drawers i found some sheets of paper i had printed out, it was all the Secret Diaries of Theoden/Gandalf/Frodo etc etc. In a few of them it is said Gandalf does a Pointy Hat Trick, which amazes some people, and reduces Glorfindel to tears.

What the hell is the hat trick?
