ROTK Mistake.
During their stint in fangorn forest Merry and Pippin drink the entdraugh which makes them taller, this can be seen in the extended DVD.However during Aragon/Strider/Elessar's corenation the four Hobits are lined up but Merry and Pippen are not taller than Sam and Frodo.

That is because by that point in the story, a great deal of time has passed and the ent draught has worn off by then..

No it doesnt....once you are no longer drinking it and out of Fangorn forest it no longer affects you. Read a book.

As have I and quite clearly in JRR Tolkeins extended writings he says that Merry and Pippen are the tallest hobbits ever. When they go back to the shire.

You're complaining on something as small as that? In the Fellowship of the Ring; Frodo and Sam were taller then Merry and Pippin.

In FOTR the SHOULD have been smaller than Frodo and Sam...they BECAME the tallest hobbits because of the Ent draught.
They don't get to Fangorn before they leave Hobbiton.
Plus Ent draught never wears off.

i was waiting for it when i saw ROTK at the movies...
(it was one of the many side stories that i loved that never quite made it to the films)
but... oh well.
next to loosing,
-Eomers "Death" Charge
-The Barrow Whight
-the evening with the elves (FOTR)
-the wolves in the snow
-Glorfindel
-the ringwraiths breath attack in bree
-fatty bulgers run for his life
-Farmer maggots "Bugger off or my dog will maul you" speech to the ringwraith
-Denethor and the Palantir
-the reforging of Narsil in FOTR
-prince imrahil (sp)
-half of Barlimans part
-Radagast
-and what the hell... Tom Bombadil.
a couple of hobbit inches sort of fade into obscurity really...
either way i love the films.
