I dunno... I love NYPD Blue, but it kind of went downhill once Sipowitz got back on the wagon permanently and started lecturing his fellow detectives about the dangers of alcohol. It lost its "dark" edge. Now, I think The Shield is #1 and NYPD Blue #2.
Everyone keeps telling me how great "The Wire" is, but I just can't make myself sit through an episode . The characters just don't seem to have any depth...

LOVE this show It's the best "non-HBO" series on TV.
BTW: Last week's episode was great. I never saw that ending coming. I knew that they would eventually kill off Deon, but I didn't expect it to be so soon... assuming he's dead and not just mangled, of course

A friend and I watched that episode, and he referred to the picture the criminal took with his cell phone as "Mackey's 'Get Out of Jail Free' card."
I have to agree. Could they have been more obvious, though, in drawing the parallel between Acaveda's trouble in dealing with the reality of the situation, and that of the women Claudette and Dutch are interviewing?

In a way it was kinda nice to see Acevada(sp?) get taken down a notch or two b/c he's just as "dirty" as Vic & the team in a lot of ways. And it will be interesting to see how Shane get out of the current mess that he's gotten himself into now w/ Tavon.

I think the pic will end up being more than just a get out of jail free card, once the buck toothed assailant realizes who he has in that pic he might blackmail...or ruin Acaveda's political career just for fun!
