Talent Shows: Looks vs. performance
Do you think that people choose talent show winner based on their looks more than their performance? Like, is it always the hottest singer who wins American Idol, or is it sometimes the best singer? I’ve gotten really into the show Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann because it’s another show that lets the audience vote, but basically you’re voting for one of the two choreographers (Bruno and Carrie Ann) so you can’t really vote for the best looking person. I think that talented people have a better chance of getting through the show because of the way they structured it.

Possibly they vote for the people they think are cuter, but it's not really a good way to vote, is it?
Somehot could be shit, and the ugly as all **** person could have you pissing yourself.

Yeah I don't think it's a good way to vote either. I also don't have the same beauty standards as TV. I just think that a lot of entertainment "talent" is not really talented, more a lowest common denominator sex object wrapped up in marketing genius.
I like how on Dance War Bruno and Carrie Ann don't ever attack the performers - they attack each other. That's A) more entertaining and B) more fair.
