I was just reading about this upcoming PBS special called "STAND UP: Muslim-American Comics Come of Age." It follows five comedians who come from various Muslim countries and parts of the US, and they put on a comedy festival in New York.
I've actually heard of some of the comedians, like Ahmed Ahmed, who's part of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour. I think it's inspirational that they can discuss post 9/11 prejudice in a light-hearted way and educate people about what they sometimes have to deal with without being bitter and divisive. It's airing May 11 at 10 pm. Here's a link to the list of comedians if you're interested: link
I agree, i have seen a few of the comedians on the axis of evil tour and they are hilarious especially Ahmed Ahmed, i am looking forward to this immensly. I think its important for people to hear these ideas from a muslim perspective.

I really like the second one, especially his closing remarks. He has a positive perspective about constructively handling prejudice without bitterness. Looks like a very interesting program.
Just a quick reminder that this special is happening this Sunday at 10 pm! I can't believe we're already approaching mid-May, all these late nights at work make the days blur, lol. I'm gonna love me some stand-up comedy this weekend.
