Damn when I first saw it I was hoping it would be some Lovecraftian show. Though it still looks interesting.

I remember this book came out back in the 90s. Someone must really have enjoyed it to bring it to television instead of something more current. Really looking forward to this, as i like period pieces and Dakota Fanning.
Thought this sounded like a procedural cop show when I saw the title, you know, socially awkward genius solves mysteries with a plucky, streetwise female cop who keeps his feet on the ground. Guess I'm not exactly light years away there from what I saw, looks good though. Might turn out like Mindhunter. What's the bet that given the era it is set in, Dakota Fanning's character has to claw her way out of male oppression?
