Incognito Sith
We all know plapatine is sidious, so why does he continue to be either palpatine or sidious? And might this have something to do with the fact that dooku is really tyranus (maybe)? Is thier a reason that the sith haven't made it clear that they are out to get the jedi?...

Ah, now, here is a mystery that cuts to the heart of it all... and we have so little information to go on. But presumably, caution is the best motive we can come up with for now. Patience is presukably one of Palpatine's more admirable virtues.

My guess is that Palpatine wanted to thin out the ranks of the Jedi before coming out saying he was Darth Sidious. If he told everyone now there are some 10,000 Jedi to deal with, not the few that will probably remain when everyone finds out who he really is.

I imagine that Dooku goes incognito for the same reason, so that the whole population of Jedi don't hunt him down. Plus from what we hear Count Dooku is somewhat of a business man and if he went by Darth Tyranus it might scare some people off, Sith aren't the most trustworthy people in the world.
