Something Old Something New!

How is Yoda so old and so athletic and yet Obi Wan is so old and not very agile?

Yoda has got about 8 centuries of mileage on him while Obi Wan has barely 7 decades on him when he meets Luke in A New Hope!

different races. Yoda isn't human thus his life cycle won't be the same.

So there is no Midiclorian enhanced lotion with vitamin E?

Yoda could be using steroids and HGH supplements to help him continue to break records way past his prime!

So Yoda could have waited a few more years for Palpatine and Darth to get put in an inter galactic nursing home and then set up for that rematch!

If the force can create life and bind it can't it also promote anti-aging?

Not exactly... I just never had a place committed enough for Star Wars to express all the thoughts I have on my favorite movie!

You should meet my friend who has the tactical read outs of The Death Star on a poster!

So Im assuming you are just now getting around to watching these movies? Cause really some of us SW geeks have been around for over 20 years now. And yeah I bet thats a sweet poster, however there are people that have things that are far more detailed and extensive when it comes to cellections and SW fandom.

But hey if you are just now getting into this cool for you. laughing out loud

Yoda is of a different species and more powerful than Obi Wan.

Not to reveal my age but I think Star Wars was the first movie I saw in the theater back in the 70's!

Most of the other hit movies were rated R so I pretty much missed out on the other hits because I was under age at that time!

To tell you the truth my mother forced all 6 of her children to go see something that I did not care to see!

So I sat there in the theater while my oldest sister sitting next to me read the opening words as they scrolled across the screen cause my reading level was basically that of a small child!

A long time ago... blah blah blah... A New Hope... yada yada yada!

I was fully prepared to go directly to sleep and curled up in my seat moments from a deep snooze!

And then it happened!

Princess Leia's ship raced across the screen as a star destroyer followed in hot pursuit to a soundtrack that boomed throughout the theater!

I sat up in my seat like WTF! (Not that I was cussing at a young age!)

By the time Darth Vader appeared with all those stormtroopers I was wide open and glued to the screen!

I was expecting some Disney style kiddie stuff but instead I was introduced to something on an EPIC scale!

I do not remember how many times I went back to see this movie again and again but it captured my imagination and we even owned the Star Wars album Galactic Funk!

About 3 years later when Empire Strikes Back was released and the rumors of Darth Vader's big parental reveal was out spoilers were leaking everywhere!

There was no internet then so the radio and TV stations dropped spoilers galore about Darth Vader the dead beat daddy!

I do not know how old some of you were when Star Wars revolutionized the way movies get made but it was a magical time!

I am not someone who collects any of the merchandise or reads a lot of the novels but the movies still hold a special place with me for reminding me to let go and dream a little bit to get away from the all the B.S. that life throws your way!

Cool story indeed. Except the above part never happened in the 1970's.

I am a collector also and I got my hands on a galactic funk record a few years back, I love listening to that thing.
