Story of Oaurious+ Character creation and permission to play

heres where the storyline and some monster info goes, also this is where players can form their characters, this is also where you get permission post in the main RP, if you are daunted by such a big storyline there is a quick summery of whats happening but it is recomended that you read the story to understand key elements of the RP, especially recomended to skim through to get an understanding for the races, here you can also discuss ideas for the RP that i may employ as well as monsters

Story:
Averonian story:
For years the angel like race of Averonians have lived in peace, building their holy cathedrals and white cities as well as protecting the lesser races, the sunlit land of Averonia with its grasslands and white deserts have been at peace for decades until the Lord of Darkness set his eye on their domain, in his evil he is planning to unleash his armies and together with the lord of Chaos will crush the land and make it into a land of the dead, wastelands of fire and ash where only evil resides, however the defenders and scouts of Aveross the great capital city of Averonia have heard of the whereabouts of an ancient artefact long forgotten, the rod of creation, long ago, Dephalus god of the Averonians lost it in a battle with the lord of chaos, as the powers of chaos and light did battle the world shook, however light prevailed yet the lord of chaos weakened performed one mighty hammer blow of chaotic energies that sent the rod of creation, the god of lights most powerful weapon deep down into the worlds core, the god was unable to retrieve it, especially with the madness of the chaos armies swarming across the lands to avenge their master. Now the rod has been sent up through the core and has rumoured to be in the keeping of the nephilak, a race of time controlling beings who wish to unleash its power and to take the power as their own, their temple is said to be hidden however and few soles have seen it, some say it is through great vallies and mountains, others up in the northern glaciers, others say it is the centre of the lands. The Averonians wish to take back the Scepter for Dephalus yet the dark lord has other intentions for such a weapon. The Gods have however agreed not to actually walk on the world in material form until the scepter has been uncovered, then they may walk the world of Oaurious

Aquelons story:
The wise and inventive Aquelon race live out in the far oceans, building great machines and inventions. The Aquelons use a special power source of magic that can allow them to bring to life inanimate objects and have developed a special metal that they are capable of creating through simple magic. The Aquelons are an intelligent race who are known to be the most magical race in the world of Oaurious, the simplest of Aquelon civilians even know powers over water and can summon small dragons and creatures to aid them. Aquelons are known for their inventive nature as well, constructing enormous city ships that span miles in length made from magic metal, carrying cities atop their huge hulls and bearing thousands of cannons that fire magic energy, these ships are one of the most feared forces on the face of Oaurious, not only are these ships enormous, powerful, carrying thousands of Aquelons all armed with arcane knowledge but they are also fast, they move at thousands of miles per hour and can fly allowing them to get to almost any destination on the World within minutes in some cases. Aquelons build many mechanical inventions, enormous robotic leviathans with all forms of magic weaponry, they are also known for their skill with summoning, calling forth gigantic Aquatic creatures and beasts from the sea, or from the air since they not only the element of Water but also air, calling forth Dragons and elementals. The story goes that they have a want for the almost limitless powers that the great Volcano of the chaos lands provide, they want to use this power and capture it. Although the Aquelons are not evil, they are neither good, more of a neutral race yet would rather side with the light than Darkness and so are loyal to Averonians, Humans and the races who are allied with them.

Humans story:

The Humans from the south are a great nation, although a far younger race than most of the others in Oaurious they are both wise and cunning and trade with all their allies, not all races trade together, Averonians and Aquelons trade with eachother or their allies rarely yet humans trade with everyone and can even bargain with these races. humans have developed gun powder and certain steam contraptions such as tanks and flying machines. Humans wear a special Delorite armour which is a metal that can absorb shock, such as explosion and hits from very hard blows, such hits will push the wearer from its feet but he will not feel some of the concussive force, Delorite is both stronger and as lighter than steel and is far cheaper, also humans are allied with Dwarves and elves especially, both forces aid them loyally in battle and Dwarves especially fight under the same banner, the invention of gun powder and Steam is owed to the inventive dwarves, also Mages are tought by the Aquelons and so give humans magic power as well. The Humans and dwarves are in a great battle against the race known as the Degrosh, they are the first inventors of Delorite yet since the inquisitive humans have blasted open their mines to reach the Delorite ore, the Degrosh are now at war. Humans protect their allies and are loyal to the end, and so in turn all allies usually protect Humans, which is how the humans have survived against the giant Degrosh for so long, humans march against the Chaos and darkness if needed by thier allies

Gaians story:
The forest and nature loving Gaians are a race of Elves, Ents, Woodland and forest creatures and beasts of the Earth, Elementals and skillful elves make the ranks of their armies, summoning such forces in battle along with many other nature spells to support them. They also have the largest monsters of Oaurious at their command, these beasts can be summoned or called upon to aid the war effort. Gaians have only one need to fight, and that is to defeat the forces that have burned down their forests for centuries, the chaos armies have done this to them and so they will avenge the Ents and forest animals that have lost their homes, otherwise they are usually the most neutral and peaceful creatures in the world but the armies of the Gaians now march to chaos and purge such barbaric creatures from the world. Allied with the Averonians,Humans and Aquelons they fight with their friends on battle, although without the right summoners and keeper of beasts the greater Gaian creatures will not aid other races.

Chaos' story:
the Chaos are simply there to transform the world into a burning wasteland, with their legions of Orcs, Monsters, Dragons and fiery beasts they swarm the land. With the largest army in the world and some of the fiercest troops they are almost unstoppable, however many orc tribes are at war, and the monsters of chaos rarely combine forces, if they were they would most certainly be able to destroy half the world and would rarely be defeaten. Led by the Chaos king who is ruled only by the Chaos Lord himself, the armies of chaos are sent forth to burn forests and destroy lands, those under the full command of the King work together, under the same banner monsters from around the region fight for the King and their Lord but if only they all the beings of chaos could be gathered in such a force there would be almost no stopping them.

Darkness' story:
The legions of Darkness are from the Abyss, a dark realm where only evil and the dead reside, this place was created by the Dark God at the beginning of time, while the other gods created oaurious, he refused to help and so created his own dimension and world, from here he created unimaginable horrors, however he has now layed his eyes on Oaurious and his dark thoughts make him wants to take the world and make it into another great Abyss, another land where only the dead and darkneded walk, he has sent his Demons, Undead and Spectoral beings through great portals in the lower south east corner of the world, the land has become corrupted and the sun never beams down upon it, fields of bodies litter the land and rivers of the dead and poison flow through it, few creatures can walk on the land or get within a mile of it and not get corrupted and diseased by such a realm. But now the God of Darkness has created the Dark King, this being is empowered with bringing down the world to its knee's with the almsot limitless legions of Demons, undead and creatures from the Abyss



The next post will have info on races, classes and tonnes of other aspects of the RP smile its a bit big this story and info to fit in one and the brief summaries

QUICK SUMMARY FOR THOSE WHO DONT LIKE READING MUCH
Averonian
Averonians are angel like creatures, great warriors, good magic, control of holy power, want to find a rod of power which will make their god VERY powerful, allied with Aquelons, Humans and Gaians plus all the good races

Aquelons
Aquelons are huminoid in appearance and have an eerie blue glow about them, wear robes if not in their mechanical stone suits powered by magic, have strong mechanical troops, Brilliant magic, summoning powers and large flying ships , no healing however and allies dont often help them because of ignorant nature, they want to get thier hands on a power source only found deep in chaos lands

Humans
(i hope you know what we look like smile) using Steam technology, having the best allies and strong connections with dwarves and elves, good soldiers, variable magic (uses wind,fire,lightning, ice and some holy)

Gaians
Tree loving race, the race includes, elves, summoners, and the largest most powerful monsters around that can be called upon by some, skillful fighters, good magic, Brilliant summons and allies often help them, their story is they want to defend their forests basically

Chaos
orcs, Monsters, Firey beasts, trolls fight against the forces of good, allied only with Darkness, they want to make the land a burning wasteland, poor cooperation leads to small groups and large groups only seen when commanded by high rankers

Darkness
Demons,Undead,Wraiths etc etc, want to kill all living things, using Chaos as a pawn of an ally to help their task of destroying all life but plan on eventually killing Chaos when all other foes are destroyed

Characters:

Allegiance/main Race (who you fight for) either Dark, Chaos, Human, Gaian, Averonian ,Aquelon this determines your classes, bonuses and overall strength, size, and rankings

Race:
Humans; Humans can be, well humans or Dwarves, Elves (not as skilled and cannot summon like Gaian elves but get some Human bonuses)
Chaos: Orcs, Trolls, beast men (can be centaurs, mintaurs or half man and half lion but I donít know what they are called if they have a name)
Darkness: Wraith, Undead (zombie/skeleton) Demon, half demon/Human
Gaians: they can be Elves, Leprechauns (some people like them), Fauns (half man, half goat sort of beast) or friendly Centaurs (much like the chaos variant)

Aquelons and Averonians have no choice but to be an Aquelon or Averonians

Classes: the abilities your character has and what he can do, all races apart from Darkness and Chaos can have Civilians and merchants, they can change to a specific class any time, classes can be changed but often lose their old powers and bonus' this is only if you get bored or want a change (some keep bonusí such as the Dephalonian knight from a priest), if you change you keep your old rank but must wait a day before you upgrade (for example, a rank 6 Dephalonian knight changed his class to a light harnesser for magic, he must stay a light harnesser for a whole day, 24 hours before he can upgrade to the next level and then another whole day to get to his final rank, all bonus' from the old class are cleared so you cant have a sword, armour and shield while being a Light mage)

Civilian: can build a shop and make money from it, your amount of money determines what you can sell (for example when you start you can sell healing potions, resurrection potions, weak armour but as you get a lot of cash you can make Strong armours and Super healing potions and resurrection potions) they cannot be aided if they leave their city and cannot sell things while travelling, can only trade with people who is of the same race

Merchant: much like a Civilian only cannot build a shop, he has a caravan which he keeps his goods and can travel to places for trade, he can trade with any races and can hire heroes (other players) for a price to protect them, (money is given to the hero's whereas everyone gets the battle experience) Experienced merchant can become Master Traders which allow them to sell magic items and gain such items from certain monster kills (magic items are given to a Master trader, heroes must buy from the trader to get them)

Master traders: required rank 3, allows far better trading and better items

Race specific classes; the first class in each line is the base class, after a certain amount of ranking, fights and training you can upgrade to the next one, the arrows indicate the upgrade path, you can either start off as a Light harnesser, foot soldier, priest or archer, or the merchant or Civilian for the Averonians, other races have different classes

Averonians: all Averonians can fly
Light harnesser (mage of light)----->Light lord---> Arch light Master
Siege harnesser
foot Soldier----->Averonian Knight----->Dephalonian Knight
priest----->High priest----->priest of the high father
Archer---> Avelous Archer------>Master prism Archer

Light harnesser: casts healing spells, can use holy magic to burn enemies with holy light, cast lightning, enchant fellow player weapons with magic fire or lightning and armour with protection against weak spells (protected armour survived one weak hit of its magic type, only weak spells are deflected from the light harnessers enchant). Sometimes their magic robes make them ethereal so weapons pass through them but this is only a tiny chance (can only happen in 1 battle) and spells still effect, they can also teleport to escape battles they have started but may not win or to help in battles, well paid class

Light Lord: a light harnesser must be rank 4 before they can become a light lord, takes 2 hours to upgrade once you have become the rank. Powers to destroy small groups easily and to summon forth holy spirits to help in the fight (3 spirits are summoned each a bit weaker than the average Averonian soldier), very good pay, can teleport, heals nearby soldiers with the blast of light spell which sears and burns nearby enemies, sends forth large orbs of sun energy that can explode killing large groups in light energy, larger chance to go ethereal (2 battles)

Arch light master: Rank 6 needed, 6 hours till upgrade, powers to destroy huge legions of foe's, can go ethereal (4 battles) best paid Averonian class, with help from 2 light lords can cast hand of high father spell to help in wars to kill half or a whole army, almost instantly winning the battle (can only be cast once a day per players, players who helped in casting cannot help other players who want to cast,20 light lords can also cast this spell)

Siege harnesser: requires rank 3 and tales 4 hours to train (is not compulsory to progress but is a cool skill to control siege weapons) Can control siege equipment such as Sun cannons and prism pyramids, these destructive forces can destroy hundreds of troops and are a major weapon in the battles and wars especially against a enemy city, these can sometimes be the only means of taking a well defended city with the siege equipment, siege weapons can only be used in sieges against towns or in wars ( i will say when a town is open to attack and list its defences, a high ranked player or a few players can group up and attack)

Foot soldier: armed with Hephalite Sword and shield and full plate armour (body, arm, leg, feet ,shoulder, arm and hand and head protection), weak healing spell that can heal small wounds, cuts and scratches, bruises, skilled fighter

Averonian Knight: rank 1 required, 1 hour to train: very fast, high defence while on horse, fast kills and the ability to attack before your opponent (unless they have a fast mount) and can fly faster (horse has wings) at rank 3 they gain an amulet which allow them to teleport, also their swords and shield are far more powerful than normal troops

Dephalonian knight: requires priest skills of rank 2, before choosing to become a soldier , you must stay on the soldier path till rank 6 to become a Dephalonian knight, you must also become an Averonian knight before Dephalonian. They have greater healing, sealing up great wounds and healing organs, more powerful sword and shield than Averonian knight, they have rings that allow them to slow down time a bit, and increase their speed giving them two extra attacks before the enemy and can teleport

priest: heals small groups with weak healing, staff fires burning light, not paid but those healed in battle by them must give them 10% of the money they earn in a battle

High priest: requires rank 3, must of been a priest from the beginning to become this class, you cannot change to it, only a priests who has moved up the ranks as a priest can become a High priest. advanced healing, heal broken bones, burnt flesh, crushed organs in a large area, can teleport and cast protection spell to make a warrior indestructible for a period of 20 minutes during a battle. no pay but must be given 20% of battle spoils by all who were healed, can make healing potions for his allies (can only make 8 a day)

Priest of the High father: requires rank 6 high priest, wears Depelesium Hephalite armour, this is Hephalite crafted by Dephalus himself, in the high heavens and is the most powerful and strongest armour known to Averonia (perhaps not strongest in the world but beats most things), also gains a Depelesium rod of power which fires powerful light that can burn through almost any armour. priests of high father can heal huge armies to full strength, protect whole armies, and slow down enemy legions to allow allied troops to get extra hits, paid by the Averonian king since you are honoured, gain great amounts of wealth, can raise dead players from the dead, whole armies of players can be raises from a battlefield, can make super healing potions, protection potions and time slowing potions (10 of each potion can be made)

Archer: Averonian archers are masters of the bow, said to rival the elves in accuracy and are only beaten in range . Averonian archers can sometimes fire up to five arrows at a time but this can lead to inaccuracy. Light arrows heal allied troops and the magic within knows who are allies and who are not but this healing is an added advantage over the conventional arrow. archers of grade 3 in rank are given a magic pendant that gives them the power to teleport within 12 metres

Avelous Archers: Avelous archers are high ranked archers, grade 4 archers may become Avelous archers and are given special training, they are given a more powerful weapon, the Avelous shafter which is a crossbow like weapon that can load quickly its own light arrows and up to five can be fired across the battlefield at a time, Avelous archers are given an accuracy helmet, its glass was crafted by the Aquarians and tested by elves to be able to replicate elfish eyesight, although Averonians do not have elfish reflexes or skill with bows as advanced as elfish counterparts, this helmet can allow them to see as far and give them increased reflexes. The Avelous shafter can take down whole lines of soldiers, a group of Avelous archers can quickly take down small armies or camps without losing a single archer or expending too much effort.

Master prism Archer: requires rank 6, , their magic pendant is still present and as well as this they are given the same speed rings as Dephalonian Knights. Master prism archers are given the Prism cannon, a far smaller hand held version of the prism Pyramid, although far less powerful in intensity and range, few armours can repel its light beam.

Ranks: you gain rank by winning battles, ranks give more bonuses and power, and the ability to bring many troops to help you battle, a player may fight 5 battles worth per day, you may fight two extra battles worth per rank upgrade (for example, rank 1 can fight 7 battles, rank 2 fights 9, rank 3 fights 12 etc etc),after 3 battles your armour breaks and must pay the price to repair it to a civilian or blacksmith, this changes however when you reach rank 3. battles must be realistic however, 100 Orcs will not be beaten by 1 Averonian rank 1 soldier roll eyes (sarcastic)

Rank 1. required 10 battles to be won,

Rank 2 required 20 battles to be won, allows players to bring 30 lower grade troops with them and 2 players of same or lower rank to battle together

Rank 3 required 35 battles to be won, allows 50 lower grade troops and 4 players of same or lower rank

Rank 4 required 50 battles to be won, allows 70 lower grade troops and 7 players of same or lower rank

Rank 5 required 70 battles to be won, allows 100 rank 4 or lower soldiers to accompany and 12 players, their weapons gain all 3 elements of magic, fire, lightning and ice, this adds more power to your weapons, can heal yourself instantly, once per five battles

Rank 6 required 100 battles to be won, 5 rank 6 allowed to come, 200 rank 5 or lower and as many players as want to come, gains the great white light dragon as a mount, the light dragon breathes light energy to melt hordes of enemies, great speed and strength

Battles: battles allow you to upgrade your rank. At the beginning you can fight 5 battles a day, you may fight against reasonable odds, monsters will be explained and described so other players can comment if your putting yourself against too larger odds, 1 orc cannot defeat 100 Averonian warriors for example. Some battles and large numbers are worth more than others:


5 opponents= 1 battle
10 opponents= 2 battle
15 opponents= 3 battle worth
20+ opponents= 4 battle points

Money: allows you to buy equipment, upgrade and potions, you gain money by fighting and daily pay

fighting money: you get 5 gold per monster you fight, this also depends on its size and strength, larger ones are worth more and will be stated how much their worth

daily pay: most classes get paid daily

Civilians get 100 gold per day and merchants get 50 gold, this is on top of what has been bought from them but they get that money there and then when the item is bought

Averonian class daily pay: gpd= Gold per day
Soldier= 120 gpd Averonian Knight= 200 gpd
Dephalonian knight= 800 gpd
Archer=80 gpd Avelous Archer= 150 gpd
Prism Archer= 650 gpd
light harnesser=150 gpd Siege harnesser=200 gpd
light lord= 450 gpd Arch light master= 1200 gpd
priest of high father (kings treasury gold)= 1500gpd

Items; sellable items by Civilians and Merchants, g=Gold, players can only have 2 potions of any one type at a time
Civilian items:

repair armour, repairs broken armour= 30g

healing potions, heals scratches and bruises= 30g

weak protection potions, protects from two weak enemy attacks= 50g

speed potion, allows 1 extra attack before enemy, unless enemy has speed as well= 70g

Civilian can sell the following items if he has over 800g

greater healing potions, heals ripped flesh, some broken bones=100g

strong protection potion, protects from three medium powered enemy attacks= 150g

super speed potion, allows 3 extra attacks, 1 attack if enemy has speed but none if the enemy has super speed as well=200g

Civilian can sell the following items if he has over 1500g,

super healing, fully restores you=200g

resurrection necklace, brings back from dead if you die=700g

super protection, protects from 2 critical attacks, 5 medium powered or 10 weak attacks=800g

merchants sell:

Healing potions=30g
protection potions=50g
speed potions=70g
indestructible armour (for those who donít want to fight for rank and can wait a few days) =800g
Mage class rank 1 spell (eg lightning for the Light harnesser, anyone can buy this regardless of class) =500g
Mage class rank 3 spell (eg sun cannon for the High priest)=1200g

Trade Master Merchant sells all the above merchant sells and second level civilian sells plus his own special items:

super shield, protects from ANY attack first hit, can be used three times a day=2000g
spear of death, kills ANY opponent straight off unless they are stated immune to it or are of immortal/godly origin, or have protection, can only be used once a day= 5000g

necklace of (aligned races god, eg Dephalus for Averonians)= brings back players 3 times from the dead, this works in 2 battles per day=7500g

a character sheet example: ALL CHARACTERS START WITH 100 gold

Name: Aronus (whatever you want, please try to make it serious and realistic of a name for the medieval times, no Ronald McDonald or Elvis Presley please, no George bush either big grin )

Allegiance/main race: Averonian (chaos, Averonian, darkness, Gaians, humans, Aquelons)

Race: Averonian (many races can be chosen for diffrent allegiance/main race, this depends however, look far above in this thread to find out the races)

male/female: Male

Class: foot soldier (classes listed above for Averonians or you can be Merchant or civilian)

Description: good tempered and always willing to help with a smile, can be shy at times, short blonde hair, blue eyes, muscular (description of your character, likes dislikes if you want to but at least what colour his eyes and hair are, what he is like, eg moody, friendly, kind but not cruel if your an Averonian since they are pure characters, be realistic with your class, but i guess a shady sneaky merchant Averonian is available or aggressive, since aggressiveness is not really evil or cruel)


Jesus ime tired, in a few weeks i may add more races, classes etc but so far ONLY use Averonians and their classes and items since it takes a long time to put all the classes and that together, ill put a brief summary of a few monsters you can battle against then i may start the RP itself once we have a few players. post your Character sheet in here and i will decide if it is a good one or not,

oh well that should be more than enough info to get the Rp character creation started, story, classes and certain fun things in there (IMO ofc smile ) ive prob put a bit too much info but some folks like detail, just skim it if you dont, anyway start slapping down character sheets and ill judge them and see if their any good

a kitsune is a mystical Creature. A half fox half human creature. though it has a tail, fur, fox ears etc, it has the posture and voice of a human.

well maybe ill add them to the Gaians race, they have a lot of creatures, mystical, forest etc etc,the Kitsune can be part of their race, also awsome drawring, ive done a few drawrings for this RP, love to scan them in but my scanner is broken sad

yeah there was abut 4 people who said they join but until they put some character profiles in here we cant play on our own let alone add more to a game that hasnt started yet, i think its a bit much to read all them rules aint it really, i mean i bet you didnt read all that writing laughing

very good tomb, 1 thing to point out is that you need to be a light harnesser before a siege harnesser, so just change that siege harnesser to light harnesser and your in ok smile
