simpsons reference?

take a look at the attached image, it's from a season 2 simpsons ep.

homer (with hair stick out tongue

) even uses a key to open the doors, much like persephone does.

in one of the intro's they are all running for the sofa, then the camera spins around then they all jump onto it.
