So says freaky old looking guy to Niobe at one point in the computer game just before she exists the Matrix, in a mad, freaky voice.
"I'm just an observer..." he says when asked, before leaving.
Maybe just a nutter thrown into the computer game... but in the Revolutions preview at the end of the game, I think he is seen, suggesting he is in the film.
Eeep! Who could HE be, if that is so? Just a random old programme? Someone really important? An old One somehow still there?
I am sure you people have some mad ideas.

I’ve had annoyingly little time to play the game – and I see I better find time, before I read about it all here  – but I have seen the trailer with an old bearded man. Aside from making me think “Bob from Twin Peaks”, he COULD be the FIRST One.
Why? The first cycle of the One must’ve been different than the next. We don’t really know what happened the first time the anomaly started and the man, that Morpheus talks aboutin the first movie, awoke.
Secondly: Who else should it be, storytelling wise? To introduce someones odd uncle in the conclusion would confuse more than it… concludes.
