marvel characters to fantasy characters
i'm sure most of you know of RPG's and stuff like that. well, what marvle characters do u think match the profiles of certain RPG characters?
thief- gambit
necromancer- Mr. Sinister or Apocalypse
berserker- wolverine or sabretooth
assassin- bullseye or deadpool
mage- dr. strange
druid- ?
cleric- ?
i dunno, do u guys agree? i still can't think of a druid or a cleric!! for those of you who don't know, a druid is a spell caster who loves animals and the wilderness and a cleric is a healer

Hmmm, The druid would be Storm probably, and the Cleric would most likely be Venom, since he can cast his symbiote on someone else and heal there wounds.

yeah, storm for the druid. i get what your saying with venom as the cleric, but cleric's are usually peaceful and trust god and all that junk and venom's an evil bastard! lol

Venom is not evil. He is called the Lethal Protector for a reason, he helps innocents. The only person he truly hates is Spiderman, and Carnage too...

good point. but who can do that? and if mystique can, that doesn't matter! and a few more::
wizard- ? not dr. strange because he's a mage
paladin- ?
monk- ?
ok, you all know what a wizard is. a paladin is a knight who fights against evil and wants to see all evil vanquished! and a monk is a hand-to-hand combatant. doesn't use weapons except for his fists and uses the martial arts

Wizard would probably be Xavier.
For the paladin Id say Archangel... Or thor.
And the monk... Possibly good ol spidey, or maybe sabretooth.

And no, not all druids can turn into animals, some control storms, others heal and do that stuff, blah blah.

I made this list after comparing Marvel characters to D&D characters...
Barbarian: Wolverine, Juggernaut, Hulk
Bard:
Cleric: Hellboy (Not really Marvel, but who cares)
Druid:
Fighter: Blade, Silver Samurai
Monk: Xorn
Paladin: Captain America, Punisher, Cyclops
Ranger: Hawkeye, Kraven
Rogue: Nightcrawler
Sorcerer: Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strange, Dormammu, Apoclypse
Wizard: Iron Man
If you've never heard of Xorn, I don't blame you.
He's a X-Man, a character only shown in the New X-Men comics.
And yes, Blade IS a Marvel character.
I was unable to come up eith any bards or druids.. maybe some of you can.
A bard is someone who uses music as a source of magic,
and a druid is a sort of magician who draws his/her powers from nature (Doesnt have to be associated with animals).

There is nothing called a thief, it's rogue.. and Black Kat doesnt fit that category. Thor is DEFINITLY not a druid.
There is actually an avenger named Dr. Druid, but he's more of a sorcerer. A sorcerer is one who has magic powers by affinity or draws them from mystic sources. A wizard is one who gets his/her powers and spells from tomes and scrolls, utilizes helping objects and artifacts like wands and the like. As an example... Merlin would be concidered a Sorcerer, and Harry Potter is a wizard.
Black Widow is definitly no ranger, since a ranger is someone who is an expert tracker and survivalist, and often combats at a range. That's why i have put up the Avenger Hawkeye and Kraven the hunter, an enemy of Spider-Man.

Okay, just asking because I don't know that much about RPG character archetypes. If there is an espionage type character, she should definatly be that.
