Question JLA or Avengers?

Would you guys prefer to see a JLA movie or an Anvengers one? I think the JLA film would work better but either could be years and years way, I mean with character development and all.

i would definitely prefer an avengers movie, lots of characters who havent had mainstream movies done on them, while JLA has superman and batman which would be hard to give them enough air time along with the other JLA members

I love Marvel, but I'd love to see a JLA movie.

A decent JLA movie would Kick Ass, well Avengers too but I like DC more.

I think the fact that a a lot of the JL members have had their own movies would make it easier. Someone who doesnt read comics could walk into a JLA movie and say, look Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman. I dont think they'd walk into an Avengers movie and say, Thor! Iron Man!!

Anyway the point is it will probably be more likely (however unlikely) a JLA movie would be made before an Avengers one. And i'd prefer a JLA movie to an Avengers one.

im pretty sure people would notice captain america and ironman, it would look much better on the movie screen than JLA imo

having big names like that in one movie is hard, especially for a superhero movie, brandon routh and christian bale (if they'd use these two) playing supes and batman ALONE would be hard to give airtime to the other characters, imo it would be SUPERMAN & BATMAN plus: THE OTHER GUYS

I dont think people who dont read comics r to familiar with the likes of iron man and captain america.

And i dont understand wat ur saying about it being hard to give others sum air time. Theres nothing hard about it at all. Unless u mean they will base the movie more around them just because there big name characters.

Right look at Ocean's Eleven. It would just be a big budget flick.

As a matter of fact, Batman and Superman played a pretty peripheral role in a lot of early JLA stories, and there were times when one or both of them weren't even in the League. I don't see any difficulty in having a movie where they didn't steal the show.

As far as the Avengers go, I think non-comic fans are probably familiar with Captain America, but none of the others.

No matter which team actually made it to the movies, It would have to be a huge budget action flick to give it any chance at the box office, filled with several no-name actors. No studio would back a film with an enormous SFX budget plus salaries for several big stars. I think an Avengers movie, if one was ever made, would be the more likely choice, because Hollywood knows they could get a good film produced and make a fortune off of just Bat Man, Spider-man, or Superman alone, but if you take a guaranteed money-maker like a super hero action movie, populate it with several less recognizable heroes but with a lot of action and a good story primarily built around one very popular character, and have that part played by a relatively unknown star (i.e. Hugh Jackman and the X-Men franchise), you have a guaranteed money-making machine.
Personally, I think an Avengers movie, built around the discovery of Captain America and perhaps a battle with Ultron would make an incredible movie.

i definitely think people would know ironman and cap, its ironman, he had a successful cartoon for a while and captain AMERICA...well, the name pretty much says it all

what i mean by not enough airtime is that some directors would obviously give bats and supes wayy more spotlight than the other characters, and if a director expresses interest in one of the other JLA members they're most likely just gonna make a movie on that single character (someone like GL or GA)

in oceans eleven it can be done because it isnt a super hero movie, each character in O11 have specific duties to carry out (grease man etc.)
while superheroes are all superheroes and you cant make a movie with supes fighting and batman in his cave giving intel while GL is doing some mission impossible-esque thing

Yeah, but even in Ocean's 11, most of the screen time is given to the BIG stars: Pitt, Clooney, Damon, Roberts, and Garcia as the villain. The other members of Clooney and Pitt's crew received FAR less screen time. And you can bet their salaries are nowhere in the range of the above mentioned cast. Plus the SFX budget would be extremely higher than a movie like Ocean's 11, so the stars used would have to be unknowns or smaller salaried B-Listers. Look at the new FF movie: Although a couple of them are recognizable, only one of them has had any real career in the movies (Alba), and those were low-budget dance crap. The rest are all TV stars, and only one of them a headliner on his 2 previous shows (Chiklis). These guys are not commanding huge bucks for their salaries, therefore more can be spent on SFX and marketing.

JLA is the best team around. But Avengers are more of a team with one voice. another thing is i don't accept Thor losing to Superman. I give this to the Avengers

ioan gruffod was in king arthur and chris evans was in cellular and not another teen movie, those are just off the top of my head though and i think ioan gruffod has the best rep

Yeah, but they're not big-time movie stars. They are only recognizable from their TV roles. Trust me, they are not receiving the salaries that Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts is getting for Ocean's 12 or any other movie. TV stars ARE cheaper.
