The Great Evil Beast. this monster was in hell before Lucifer fell. he was banned from creation. and who might be powerful enough to ban him?? God......... he was actually sleeping and needed woken up with a spell from a very Satanic Clan. Lucifer Morningstar has been called Satan before, but he is just the first fallen angel. The Great Beast is much more powerful then Lucifer. The Great Beast has shown himself to be much more of a advisary to God then Lucifer Morningstar. Lucifer wanted to take over Heaven and be like the most High. The Great Beast was on his way to destroy all of Creation, and Heaven to find out why he was even here to ask God why he was created, and to possibly try to destroy Heaven itself, The Presence of course did not let that happen  . in my view he is more like Satan then anyone else. also in hellblazer we see God himself created The First of the Fallen, he is said to be Satan. he is a part of God that was ripped out of himself. The First was also said to be the first being to be condemned to hell before Lucifer fell as well. i would say The First of the Fallen = The Great Evil Beast from what i have read.
