Their relationship makes more sense because they know each other, they understand one another, and they always help each other out. Ron and Hermoine haven't done that for the past 6 books and you expect me to believe that they'll be a couple? No way.
I think they are but they don't want to admit it to the press just like every other celebrity couple.
