How much?

How much does a DVD cost in your country?
Here (Portugal) its around 25€ but it can go to 30€.
A box set (of the x files 3rd season) costs 84€. Havent checked how much the other series cost.

A box set of the X-Files from a high street retailer in the UK will cost somewhere in the region of £80.00 this roughly converts to €114 or £144.

A single DVD can cost anywhere from £10.99 - £15.99 (give or take) this roughly converts to €17 - €22/$21 -$28.

Quite Expensive as you can see.

I only buy dvds from stores like HMV if theres a sale on.
Because like Will said they are quite expensive. I see most new ones in hmv for £17.99-£20 and not much less for older titles.

I get my dvds online mostly (play.com/cd wow), especially Buffy/Angel boxsets as in the highstreet they range from £75-£85, compared to the £35.99 I pay on line wink

I dont like buying thins thru the net cos I dont have a visa card and what happens if the DVD isnt working right? What do you do?

Here 40% of the money goes to the state. If it wasnt for that it would be way cheaper.
Prices are pretty much set, they sometimes sell 2 DVD for the price of one. Dont know how the extras are in those.

CD-WOW offers free postage and package is relatively cheap, sale both Region 1 (American) & Region 2 (Europe), however although they sale cheap box sets they don't sale any X-File ones (sorry Kes). There pretty reliable and they do service all EU countries.

I get a lot of mine through ebay. There are some right bargains to be had. I never pay anymore than £10 for a DVD.

Yeh, I guess if a person looks around and waits, some cheap ones can be found.

bah......he shops in the wrong places.

Here in the U.S. you can usually find any dvd you want for a price between $15-$20 at your local Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc.........

Less popular movies that aren't sold at such mass market stores can usually be bought for a price between $20-$25.

Box sets like X-files and Star Trek TNG go for right at $100......at Best Buy, Walmart, etc.

May I correct you. 1 disk DVDs are sold from as low as £6 to £12 whilst 2 disks can be sold for £10 to £16 and box sets £25 to £130 £130 is the most expensive i have ever seen but it was every episode of friends. Quite understandable.
