Question Marvel Girl's Xtra dimensional selves?

Midway through the last issue of Uncanny, Marvel Girl explains that alternate versions of herself don't exist, only aspects of her past...
go back a few pages and you see Captain Britain facing male counterparts of Rogue, Storm, Shadowcat, Polaris, Psylocke, and...Marvel Girl. Ok, so he counts, right?
