I did a search of the threads on this forum and I couldn't find one like this (if there is then I'm really sorry )...
But anyway, I just wish they's bring back the old Jean Grey. I'm ssoooo tired of her dying. What do you guys think?

Okay.
1) I'm not so much of a fan of those uber powerful characters. I prefer those with rather "moderate" powers (Mystique, Icarus...), though there are exceptions (Sorm, Emma).
2) The Phoenix concept is really cool, but became WAAAYYY overused during all this time and so lost A LOT of it's fascination and scaryness for me:
"OH MY GOD, THE PHOENIX! She will certainly save the world (after beating the sh*t out of us) and then she will die...just to be back one or two years later, to do the same AGAIN!!!
3) Emma is cooler than Jean and, despite her seeming heartlessness, really loves Scott...without holding back, without shame and in giving him the ease to open himself as well, something Jean was not able to do, eventhough it's pretty important in a mature relationship imo.

I said, that she was not able to bring SCOTT to the point of opening himself completely to HER, making him feel unashamed of whatever. But now that you mention it...yes, Jean was also not able to open herself as far as Emma, or why do you think Scott had the feeling of something standing between them, something that drove him away from her?
Btw...being with a partner who is either allmighty, evil, dead or a combination of any of these feats is not exactly a good prerequisite for a satisfying and working relationship!!!

Yeah that's true. I'm so tired of her dying. I think that the reason for her always dying is that they made her waaay too powerful as the Pheonix, so now the writers don't know what to do with her. So they just keep killing her and bringing her back. Think about it. If she were a regular part of the X-men, their conflicts wouldn't be very interesting.
i say bring bak good 'ol marvel girl with powers that gave her a kool edge, but didnt make her a freekin god or wateva....the whole dying thing is not koool...esp after its been done so much....i say...bring her bak and keep her as she used tobe...or just get rid of her forever
The thing is...now it would be hard to have one without the other....unless the Phoenix found another host {which she might have} ...and also the idea of the Phoenix is that it dies to be re-born..so obviously it's hard to kill it for good...honestly I wish they'd just let Jean rest for a few years..then bring her back as Phoniex...but with a storyline that means she manages to expel the Phoenix for good..
