couple questions

So as we all know Wolverine has had his fair share of several appearances but I have a few questions

1. Is it generally accepted to just read Uncanny X-Men and the Wolverine series seperately and just accept them as 2 different storylines or does the stuff that happens in the wolverine series take place on the Uncanny timeline.
2. Wolverine's Healing factor was dialed back by breaking the deal with the angle of Death, is it still dialed back and to what extent.
