Cause she got adopted so she got given her adoptive parents last name, Luke was given to his Aunt and Uncle so they never changed his last name because he wasn't their kid so they probably didn't feel right by giving him Larr's (or however it is spelt) as his last name

The whole point is to keep Luke and Leia separate. Luke was hidden on Tattooine while Leia was adopted by Bail and logically would be given their name. Plus it is fairly obvious that should Vader or the Emperor knew a skywalker child was alive than they would go after him/her and let nothing get in their way.
Not to mention she was adopted by a very public and influential figure in galactic society. It just wouldn't be smart to not change her name.

Because skywalker men whine alot...so they decided to let him keep the name and then maybe the Emperor would sort out that problem...or they flipped a coin to decide
vader knew his half-brother was on tatooine but never bothered to pay a visit... he simply had no reason to go there. So Luke could have kept his name: he lives on a desolate rock. And perhaps the name Skywalker is common?

and lived on the exact same moisture farm that anakin's mother died on, with anakin's only living relatives that he knew of. because we needed the PT. before the PT star wars made too much damn sense.
