My Personal Star Wars Collection and more!

Hello, as some members know, I am also a Star Wars collector. I also collect a few other random things that I like for various reasons. My collection consists of what I enjoy most in the huge pool of Star Wars merchandise. I mainly love to collect the action figures both vintage and new, (loose and carded) and any vintage (1976/77 - 1989) Star Wars products. I also like Star Wars store advertising displays. I am able to display most of my collection in my room, but lately space is getting scarce, and I have been having to store away some things.

Click on the thumbnails to see the full size images if you wish.

I would also love to hear about what items you like to collect, so post them in this thread, no matter what it is, and pictures are always great!

This is where I display my collection.

These are some more modern era Star Wars action figures. Ranging from the 90s to present. The top black frame contains a store advertising cardboard slide for a T-Shirt design. The item under it in the same type of black frame is an animation cel from the 1985 'Ewoks' series given to me by the Official Star Wars fan club.

This is a closer shot of the animation cel. I believe it is a pair of hands.

The large poster on the left is actually from 1977 and is a copy of concept art from the original Star Wars film. The printed wood display next to it was a nice gift from my boss.

This display is actually from Toys R' Us. I have made good use of it where DVD sets once stood on display for sale.

(please log in to view the image)

This is a more recent display I got from a book store. I was able to put some figures on it which is always nice.

(please log in to view the image)

Most of it excluding the first shelf is full of Star Wars items. I was a huge fan of Surge back in the day and I also love the modern reincarnation called Vault. On the far left you can see the Norwegian Urge soda.

(please log in to view the image)

After coke changed Vault's label design I picked up a number of the old style cans. I went to five different stores before I found the older style.

(please log in to view the image)

I collect pop like this, so I am not 100% crazy for buying all of this to not drink!

(please log in to view the image)

I had to store these two displays becuase of the addition of the in wall self. I also have a larger Darth Vader Pepsi display stored.

(please log in to view the image)

In this picture you can see a cool 1983 Return of the Jedi patch, a vintage Canadian radio station pin, and a Darth Vader ring that came in bubble gum machines in the 1970s. I actually acquired the ring by accident. But that story is best told in a private message. Hahaha.

This item is interesting because it isn't really an official Star Wars item, but it was made around the same time. There is no question as to what movie the characters on this product was modeled after.

(please log in to view the image)

This is my favorite part of the collection. The two top most shelves contain all vintage items. The 3rd has some carded vintage action figures in protective cases, and some newer figures thrown in there as well.

(please log in to view the image)

On the left side is a cardboard poster advertising pre-orders when the Original Trilogy first came out on DVD. It came from the ill-fated store Sun Coast.

(please log in to view the image)

These are my autographed figures. I had the pleasure of meeting both Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett.)

(please log in to view the image)

Mr. Mayhew is very tall, but it is harder to tell in the image becuase he is sitting down.

(please log in to view the image)

I love these events! Star Wars merchandise + Star Wars characters = a great time!

(please log in to view the image)

I met Jeremy about one year ago, he was very kind and fun to talk with.

(please log in to view the image)

Can you tell the difference between these vintage Chewbacca crossbows? The top one is green, while the bottom one is blue. The green crossbow is rare and more valuable than the other ones becuase it was part of the "early bird set" I believe.

Look at the pouch on the Chewie to the right. It is metallic green not n like most are. According to one source only a few specimen of this variation exist, unfortunately that is all I know about this one.

(please log in to view the image)

I found these Grand Rapids Press cut outs in a Star Wars Return of the Jedi book at a garage sale! That was a wonderful suprise!

(please log in to view the image)

I had to put these glasses in one of my Mom's cabinets becuase I ran out of room!

(please log in to view the image)

(please log in to view the image)

I am not a comic book collector but I liked the looks of these ones and they were very cheap at an estate sale.

(please log in to view the image)

I have to keep these stored away for now unfortunately.

(please log in to view the image)

The Fantastic Films magazines on both sides are very significant becuase they mention "Revenge of the Jedi."

(please log in to view the image)

Us Magazine even had Star Wars on the cover in 1983.

I have a huge stack of vintage Star Wars magazines and official publications. I pulled a handful of the coolest ones to show you.

(please log in to view the image)

This is a shot of a 1978 calender from 1977, a 1983 Return of the Jedi doodle pad, and a Life magazine featuring Star Wars on the cover from the early 1980's.

(please log in to view the image)

I like the vintage pins. I found these at a flea market.

(please log in to view the image)

These are Return of the Jedi era combs.

(please log in to view the image)

I got these for a great deal, currently they are encased in protective Star Cases.

Star Wars and the other things I like to collect are a pretty big part of my life.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my collection, I would really like to hear about and see your collections as well, whatever it may be. There is no such thing as something weird to collect, so never be ashamed. If you like it, that is all that matters and if you can find others or communities with similar interests it makes things even more fun!

Very nice collection! I really like the covers on those copies of Star Wars, in America our cover art is not as nice.

Yeah, I enjoyed the Path of Destruction books.

thanks dude!

as you can see, the covers are a bit worn, and the flash covered most of ESB, which is annoying lol...
