 Arrow Poems/Song lyrics I've been working on

Here's the first one I've decided to post... it's the lyrics to a song I wrote. Let me know what you think.

Hollow Regard

Verse I
You, you know me
Better than the rest
But can you see me
Through my elaborate disguise
My image seen, through your eyes
No.

Verse II
Hey, it’s not your fault
How can I expect you
To know the real me
When I’m false
You can’t be, here for me
No.

Refrain:
I don’t know if I want help
Can’t decide, but sometimes
To avoid hurting you I have to avoid hurting myself.

Verse III
Trial and error hasn’t worked
Still can’t find someone who understands
A friend that can be there
By letting me be there for them
Hate this prison, damn my vision

So, where does this leave me
Sitting, contemplating loss
Can’t believe the route I want
Betrays my intentions
I can’t do it, forced to work through it

Simple yet astounding the impact
Cringing faces, messenger of distress
Cactus feelings, side sharp contusion
Transparent wounds, one loss
Faucet dripped loneliness

Bring the carpet, white stains
Eternal pain reliever of open wounds
Whispering, no regrets
Dust behind, unobstructed view
Empathetic diversions, attention drawn

Supersaturated thoughts, wrong conditions
Inefficient, breaking connection
One course of action, minority decision
Reality of dreams never reached

Outside boundary, limiting hand
Trapdoor, hinged rust shut
Reflected provision, resulting anchor
Yield to this undertow, pound the nail
Screw in the last truth, memory betrayed

Cell destruction, flashes dim
Intake reduced to counterfeit pleasure
Rip at the layer of concentrated reality
Coaxing darkness, entrails of past unknown
Curtailed potential, lift away
