The three angels of Avalon; Godric, Godwulf, and Godrum; have helped the men of Igros grow into a strong race with a mighty nation in the kingdom of Gandriar, but some consider that a growing threat to their own power. Barathus, Beorngar, Beornmod, Beorhtsige, and Beornhelm; the five demons of Diablen; have mobilized an orc army to destroy man, but the Grand Forest blocks their path, home of the ancient catlons, a great warrior race so the orc march to destroy the catlons first.

The ancients of the catlons age differently then man just like the other two races of catlons which will be introduce later. Catlons age quickly their first eight years of life and appear to be twenty and the cease in aging until they reach the age of one hundred and forty. A catlon appears to be twenty from age eight to one hundred forty. The average catlons lives to be two hundred. After age one hundred and forty they age like man so in catlons the age one hundred and fifty to man it is thirty.
Catlons are a race made up of women with some differences in appearance. No records show how catlons give birth but some might say that the kilton, a race of foxes the size of horses, will mate with the catlon but no answer is found. Catlons have cat like ears and tails as the main difference. Others are the facts they have sharp teeth and nails and have fur the same color as their ears on their shoulders, elbow to wrist, and from knee to ankle. Eyes of a catlon appear to be more cat like then human so some believe that a catlon was in fact a cat.
Siege of Woodfall
Ten thousand orcs attacked the Catlon Village, Woodfall, which is the catlon’s furthest village west. The siege of Woodfall lasted three days, the orcs won and some catlons fled while others were captured to be tortured, killed, and raped. The catlons fled to warn the queen and at once all the villages of the Grand Forest prepared for war with the orcs from the west. The catlons raped back orcs gave birth to a new species of catlon that developed their own language. They called themselves Forrtu and they were raised to fight for the orcs.

The forrtu catlons aged differently then ancients due to orc blood in them. They age until they are three then cease till they are ninety and appear to be twenty during those years. Then they age like man after ninety and most forrtu die at the age of one hundred and fifty.
Forrtu looks different then catlons of ancients but they do not appear that different. The only difference is that forrtus have no cat ears or tails and everything else is basically the same with between forrtus and ancients.
Battle of Woodfall
‘Queen Florwyn. The orcs are burning the western borders of the forest,’ the queen’s captain-general, Elecawyn said in the throne room of the Grand Forest capital city, Cemu. ‘The have dammed the Getian River my highness. Are main source of water is now gone. They plan to starve us.’
‘Then we shall free the river.’ Florwyn said. ‘Destroy the dam; prepare to move out at dawn. Slay all the orcs and show no mercy for they will show none. They will torture you until you wish for death to come and take you away.’
‘Very well my queen.’ Elecawyn said bowing. Florwyn stood up off her throne and takes a spear. She seemed to be a mighty warrior at that moment that could defeat the entire orc army by herself.
‘No enemy has ever defeated us before,’ Florwyn said and the two hundred catlons gathered around cheered with spears up. ‘We will banish are foes back to the abyss hence they came!’
Elecawyn led two hundred catlons to Woodfall moving silently. They will not arrive this day but sometime in the next. Four captains came with Elecawyn. Ceilowyn, Calwen, Seawen, and Lacwyn. All four captains were Elecawyn’s younger sisters. She has two older sisters but they are in the north defending Riverfall.
‘Sisters, halt your group. Night has come and we need rest to win the battle tomorrow’ Elecawyn said. All the catlons stopped and some sat down. Elecawyn sat in a circle with her other sisters. No fire was made too keep their secret but they decided to continue their war ritual at midnight.
The catlons sang softly:

Morning came and the catlons begun to move to Woodfall. They traveled for an hour or so but were ambushed by orcs. The catlons fought bravely but they were outnumbered one to four. The vast army of the orcs proved too much for the small catlon strike force and before noon came the catlons retreated with a sixth of their number. Some were captured like Lacwyn and killed others like Ceilowyn, Calwen, and Seawen. Elecawyn was the only sister to escape from the battle. She would be the only sister out of the eight to survive this war.
The orcs did not wait to continue their assault and at once they charged in on the retreating catlons who were heading for Midwood. Catlons ran as fast as golden retrievers as they fled from the ruins of Woodfall knowing now it was foolish under estimating the power of the orcs.
Battle of Midwood
The defeat at Woodfall encouraged the catlons to win at Midwood to redeem themselves. Elecawyn would lead the defense here. The remaining catlons from the Battle of Woodfall grouped with the five hundred catlons at Midwood. In fact nine out of ten catlons were trained warriors. The one out of ten are children. Kiltons do not live in parts the war is raging on anymore but they do migrate down their once a year.
By nightfall the orcs were upon Midwood. They burnt everything in their path and means to do the same to Midwood. The orcs couldn’t break the defenses of the catlons until trolls entered the siege. Trolls, huge monsters of mountains size of a house, marched in and begun to throw massive boulders into the village weakening their forces evermore. If trolls weren’t bad enough, orcs came riding in on belves, wolves the size of bears.
By dawn more then a fifth of the catlons have been killed and seeing no means of victory, Elecawyn ordered a retreat. A few kiltons lived in Midwood and Elecawyn rode out wounded on one.
Fall of Cemu
Three years of fighting weakened the catlons more then it did the orcs. A third of the Grand Forest was now in ruins but the kiltons have been helping the catlons for over two years now but they have failed to help turn the tide of the war. More forrtu catlons keep appearing killing the ancient catlons. Lacwyn gave birth to six forrtu catlons and then she was killed by the orcs. That is what the orcs do, make a catlon give birth six times to a forrtu catlon and then kill her to strengthen their forces.
Cemu is the last defense of the catlons before their beloved kingdom is destroyed. Florwyn sees no victory in this war for now none can be achieved. Four thousand catlons and kiltons now stand in Cemu prepared for the onslaught that is at hand. Elecawyn has just learned that her two elder sisters were killed while retreating from Riverfall which they defended bravely. No word in catlonish or man can be used to describe such destruction. The Grand Forest once extended over three hundred miles but now most has been burnt down and destroyed.
By dawn more then seven thousand orcs, trolls, forrtus, and belves attacked Cemu in numbers too great for the catlon and kilton defenders. Not even an hour before the battle started, Florwyn was stricken down and then beheaded by the biggest troll out of the pack. By high noon the catlons and kiltons fled with only ten percent of their army remaining. They fled to Trece being led by Elecawyn. The good news is that the orcs have lost too many to invade Gandriar and so now they must cease their invasion for a few years…maybe decades.

Ceolwyn and Barohere
Ceolwyn was one of the few surviving catlons that escaped from Grand Forest alive. Her two older sisters were killed and her younger ten sisters and mother were captured by the orcs. Ceolwyn arrived at Trece at dawn badly wounded and all hopes of her survival seem to have fade away.
Lucky for her the captain of the guard, Barohere, found her laying at the city’s gates and took her to his home to help her recover. Ceolwyn was out cold for two days but on the third she awakened. This was the first time in history that was recorded that a catlon has been in Trece and even inside someone’s house.
Ceolwyn needed six months to even be able to walk and Barohere helped her recover throughout the days. The two developed a bond for one another and Ceolwyn had fallen in love. First time recorded that a catlon has fallen for a man. Ceolwyn told Barohere many stories of Grand Forest but left out the part of the orcs invading Trece and Barohere told Ceolwyn many stories of Gandriar. On one of the nights before the year’s end, Ceolwyn gave birth to the first woodrow catlon, Malwen.

Woodrow catlons age differently then ancients and forrtus due to the human blood in them. They age quickly till the age of four and then they appear to be twenty until they turn one hundred and then they age like man after that and the normal woodrow catlon dies at the age of one hundred and sixty.
Woodrow catlons have differences in their looks as well. They have the ears and tails of an ancient but they do not have the fur and because of this it is said that a woodrow catlons is suppose to be the loveliest of all three races.
Ceolwyn gave birth too many more woodrow catlons over the next thirty years. In fact it was said she gave birth to forty two woodrow catlons making Ceolwyn the catlon that gave birth to the most children. By then for every four humans in Trece there was one catlon. The woodrow catlons grew faster then either the ancients or the forrtus. A lot of woodrows headed east and begun to live in the forest where more kiltons roamed.
Barohere and Ceolwyn spent more time together then anyone you would have ever seen and not once did they argue. These two were the perfect couple for one another but sadly their love was in the wrong era for all good things must come to an end.
Battle of Trece
Midnight came and a few guards both man and catlon stood guard as usually and none now cared of the destruction of the Grand Forest. But that thought should have never been brought for the orcs now marched with an army twice the size as the one that destroyed the Grand Forest. Catapults flung fireballs into Trece and soon enough the capital city of man was prepared for battle.
Over eighty thousand soldiers fought in and out of Trece but the orcs were outnumbered for the army of man was greater. The orcs fled but they had more soldiers approaching. On day two the orcs returned with a greater force then the one from before and the battle raged on. Barohere rode out into battle with horses. This was the first battle that horses were used in.
The knights plowed through the orc lines traveling at great speeds. By sunset the orcs retreated once again and this time they wouldn’t return for they knew a quick victory against man was only a dream. Barohere at once led a mighty force to reinforce a village northwest from Trece but was slain by an ambush of orcs along the way. The war between orc and man would be the greatest Igros would have ever seen.

Arrival of the Chosen
War between east and west killed hundreds of innocent people on both sides that caused no harm to Gandriar or the orcs. By the year’s end, nearly one thousand five hundred man, catlons, and orcs were killed. The people prayed to God for the war’s end but the end was no where in sight. By the third year of the war a miracle at last happened that would change the tide of the war in favor of man.
During a battle in the western plains, human forces were in full retreat after a bloody slaughter but a light emerged from the east that gave the men hope and encouraged them to stay and fight. They did fight and defeated the orcs.
The light came from a man cloaked in white with silky white hair and bore a staff, his name was Serrago. Serrago was said to be sent from Avalon to help the men of Igros to victory. Serrago led one thousand men in victory, one after another. The tide of the war changed at last. Serrago had magic no man has ever seen. He slaughtered one hundred orcs by himself like he was killing ants. At one point people thought he was an angel of Avalon but one day he vanished and the orcs begun to push back the Gandriar forces.
The Dark Lord
Barohere, now a captain-general, gathered a grand army together to push back the orcs at the ruins of Midwood. Twenty five thousand men and catlons stormed the ruined village and forced the orcs to retreat northwest. Barohere led his forces after them at last coming to Darkice, said to have been the Garden of Eve God made for the people but burnt it after a terrible rebellion. The only path into Darkice was a small opening in the Shadowy Mountains in the northeast.
In another year, nearly forty thousand men and catlons invaded the orcs. For six days the battled at the opening called Indrian until the orcs retreated into the center of Darkice where the biggest mountain in all of Igros sat, the black mountain, Mount Vovlian. On the peek of Mount Vovlian stood a tower one thousand feet high, the Tower of Diablen, the orc’s stronghold.
For a year the forces of Darkice and Gandriar battled one another at the slopes of Mount Vovlian until at last the leader of Darkice, the dark Lord himself came down…Serrago. No longer cloaked in white but now in black. Serrago still had thousands of soldiers willing to fight to the death for their ‘god.’
Serrago then revealed the Pendant of Avalon, Celestial. Serrago used Celestial to whip out many of Gandriar’s forces and killed Barohere himself. King Herald Gandriar rode into Darkice with two thousand knights but were useless against the might of Serrago. It appeared hope for man had fallen but the sky opened up and the three angels of Avalon; Godric, Godwulf, and Godrum; flew down to put an end to Serrago once and for all. The casted Serrago into the only thing that can destroy Celestial, the Black Hole.
Serrago’s power faded from Igros and the orcs and forrtus remaining fled in free. The angels decided that the pendant was no longer safe in the west so they hid it deep in the east never again to be bothered by man or orc or catlon again.

Elisha Diadem and his Quest
Year: 165
Elisha Diadem was ten when his adventure begun. A mere lad living at the hill of Diadem which was the largest hill in all of Mayton. Gravince is made up mainly of many hills and a few streams running this way and that. At the southern border of Gravince is the Small Forest, at the northern is Silence Woods, at the eastern border is the River of Life, and at the western border is the Getian River.
Gravince
Mayton is at the southern border of Gravince just north of Small Forest and at the edge of the Getian River. Mayton is the vast farming lands with many farms built on the side of the hills. Mayton gets the fewest visitors for none care to travel that far south for so little of a town. Mayton believes that it can remain out of wars and troubles if they don’t stick their noises into other people’s business.
Merrierton is at the northern border of Gravince just south of Silence Woods and at the edge of the Getian River. The fields between Merrierton and Mayton hardly has any hills in between so it is commonly known as the Gravince Flats. Catlons now dwell in Silence Woods and many often go to Merrierton to continue their race. Merrierton only gets catlon visitors and hardly no one else.
Marton is at the eastern border of Gravince at the edge of the River of Life. It is the biggest of the three villages and the entire village is made up of brick houses with hardly no fields or grass to gaze at expect in the Town’s Square in the middle of the village. The mayor lives in Marton and every October and December they celebrate the Festival of the Moon, the October festival has a lot more people come to it then the December festival. Marton gets many visitors throughout the year but it usually gets overcrowded for the Festival of the Moon.
The Grey Sage, bojoraokv
The month was around mid June when the grey sage, Galatians or as he was called in Avalon, bojoraokv, came to Mayton in search of aid to travel east. No one would assist him until he came to the house of Diadem. Galatians elected Elisha to travel with him along with David and Marth and of course, seven brave soldiers: Derrick, Nathan, Matthew, Jason, Lester, Deun, and Luke. The large group needed to travel to the mountain called the Cloudy Mountain.
Galatians did not tell anyone the true reason for going expect to learn from the Temple of Avalon said to have dwelt there. On June twenty fourth, they headed off to the east taking three horses to carry most of the supplies. The grey sage took them pass Marton without stopping once.
Elisha knew this would be the adventure of a lifetime so he was eager to go. Galatians gave Elisha the short sword, Dragon’s Bane, gave David the short sword, the Blade of Gravince, and gave Marth the short sword, Swift and Nova. He gave Marth two for he was the strongest out of the three lads and had sword training already.

Uplian Kingdom
Upon crossing the River of Life that Galatians separated the water into two allowing them to cross on dry land, they came to Nathan’s and Luke’s homeland of Uplian. Uplian trained gryphons to travel far into the mountain ranges which made up two thirds of Uplian. At the eastern border of Uplian was the Cloudy Mountain that is filled with orcs and trolls and dragons.
King Alfred Uplian pleaded for the grey sage’s help for the Dragon Lord, Melkey, has returned and been terrorizing the kingdom with an army of dragons. Galatians demanded they trained themselves to use gryphons like horses so they may battle the dragons in the sky.
Battle of the Dragon Lord
On August fourteenth, Melkey led two hundred dragons into an invasion of the Uplian capital, Mountos. Melkey and his dragons were ambushed by newly trained gryphon knights but the dragons were too fierce to defeat with so few a number. Galatians flew into battle on Wingbeat, Lord of the Gryphons. Wingbeat was bigger then any other gryphon.
Galatians and Wingbeat attacked Melkey directly. The seven soldiers: Derrick, Nathan, Matthew, Jason, Lester, Deun, and Luke flew into battle to aid Galatians. Lester, Deun, and Jason were killed by lesser dragons in the battle. Melkey changed from a dragon to a half-man and battled Galatians on the ground. Nothing Galatians did affected the Dragon Lord.
Gryphons saw their king, Wingbeat, in grave danger when it was only him and a few flown by the remaining four and at once nearly one hundred gryphons ambushed the dragons. Melkey ordered a retreat before he killed Galatians seeing that the dragons would have been slaughtered.
The king mobilized his forces and soon had one thousand men and gryphons ready to invade the Cloudy Mountain. On September second, the invasion begun. Melkey brought all his forces to him preparing to outlast the foes.
Siege of the Cloudy Mountain
On September fifth, the battle at the Cloudy Mountain begun. Orcs once again battled man and gryphons battled dragons. Matthew was crushed by the corpse of a troll and sadly was killed. Elisha, David, and Marth fought in the battle showing great valor. Melkey took the form of a great dragon and attacked.
The forces from Uplian was at the edge of defeat when Elisha threw his sword Dragon’s Bane, the only weapon the army of Uplian had that could slay the Dragon Lord, at the chest of the great dragon and Melkey was slain. The orcs and dragons fled never again to return to the Cloudy Mountain. Galatians, Elisha, David, Marth, Derrick, Nathan, and Deun climbed the Cloudy Mountain and found the Temple of Avalon. Elisha was the first to enter and when he did he saw a pendant that he hid in his pocket and spoke nothing about.
Galatians seemed to have been disappointed in the trip and sadly Galatians, Elisha, David, and Marth flew back to Mayton on gryphons.

Chapter I
The Land of Gravince
South of Gravince near the Small Forest a lone rider heads to the village of Mayton. The horse is a mighty brown steed like oak wood from a healthy old tree wearing a blue and gold saddle. The rider is an old man cloaked in grey robes that was fastened at the waist by a brown belt. On the belt is a sheath with a mighty hilt on it. He wore light boots in the same color was his robes. The old man had a long grey beard and long grey hair that was twisted and tangled but not dirty. Clinched in his right hand was a brown wooden staff that formed sort of a cage at the top that could hold a jewel.
The grey rider headed in between the opening of two great hills and on both hills parallel from one another was a single room guardhouse. Each guardhouse had three men stationed there. Two had long pikes and the other one had a bow at both. They were tall men of great structure. Clothed in brown and green chain mail and wearing a mighty brown helmet. The men with pikes ran down to the road to stop the grey rider while the ones with the bows remained at the guardhouses with an arrow ready to fire.
‘What brings one so armed out this far in this month?’ the tallest guard questioned keeping a distance from the grey rider. The grey rider was Galatians the Wise who was heading to Mayton to visit Elisha. Elisha now has a twelve year old son named Elijah but his wife died in childbirth. Elisha’s good friend Marth and his wife were murdered and Elisha took in his daughter, Destinie, who is now twenty years old.
‘Thou have no power over or against me. I come here once again like I have always done in so and never once have thou stopped me. Ye must have been ordered to do so by the mayor of Gravince that has fallen under an enchantment that has gone terribly wrong.’ Galatians told the guards, ‘now allow me to pass so I may go peacefully into Gravince hence forth.’
‘Why should I believe you old man?’ the same guard asked again. The other three looked at their captain and then to Galatians and begun to back up.
‘Do ye have no love for your mayor? Verity I say unto thee! The very boundaries of Igros will be removed and utterly destroyed in a great roaring flame and those that have showed valor will not perish but be carried away to Avalon,’ Galatians said. ‘Now step aside so I may pass.’
The captain clinched his teeth in bitter rage and angrily he said, ‘allow him entrance.’
Galatians rode by the guards and entered the farming village of Mayton. The people are getting ready to go to the Festival of the Moon this cool October. Many people have already stocked up their crops to sell and even more are still harvesting. The grey rider slowly rode through the village gazing upon a simple life that isn’t really simple. He is reminded of an old tale:
Once upon a terrible evening through the mighty trees it came echoing, a voice so fair and so pure that people mistook it for angel’s singing. The small farming town was drawn to it but every month a young maiden of beauty vanished. None knew what has happened but they vanished when the voice returned.
