I don't think kubrick was really twisted. The Shining was already a book, kubrick didn't think of it himself.

yeah but they tell completley different stories, I mean %100 different, read a few chapters you will see what i mean. Or watch the new made for TV Shining that was Steven Kings version. Kubrick Made it his all the way. That like saying Steven King wrote the Lawnmower man, anyone who has read the book knows its about a pig of man that eats lawnclipings, the movie is about VR LOL %100 difference. Kubrick took Kings Characters and made an original story.
And clockwork Orange is way more Fuked up than the Shining anyways!!!
