Age: D

Favorite: E

Essential: A

Stereotypes, as in heroines in Horror, are unnecessary nods to old Horr to give the new films that same feel, which doesn't always work. Instead, use less characters, give them all more substance, and make the main villain a little more human. Realism is sorely lacking in Horror.

More interesting film... : A

Disfigurement essential: B, the more human, the better.

Best Horror: TCM or NOES 1

Worst Horror: Jeepers Creepers 2

I highly doubt that all the worst horror movies are ones that have been released in the last few years, c'mon now!

Age) B [17]
Type) I would say Werewolves, because I'm obsessed with Lycanthropes (don't get me started) but my favorite Horror movie is probably E, ones with serial killers and the like. The disgusting things that man alone can do.
Essential) C, Sound Effects for sure. The Exorcist is one of the most classic Horror movies of all time, and it had basically had none of the two above.
Characters) A. I’m getting sick and tired of the same stereotype of “Run into a dead end”. Almost every character is this type, a ‘Dead End Run’ and it’s just annoying. Standing and fighting while looking for a way to get somewhere the evil, whatever it may be, cannot get you, is THE single best way to deal with it. Oh, and btw filmmakers, believe it or not, white boys can fight too ya know!
Interest) A. Supernatural beings should probably amount to powers, which would amount more to an Action or Gore movie as opposed to Horror. I want to feel sheer terror, not worry.
Disfigurement) B, no, but it sure as hell does make the evil much more menacing. Think of how less frightening Leatherface would be WITHOUT the crap he put on. Certain things just WORK, and this is one of them.

Best Horror Movie Seen – Dawn of the Dead (Remake) or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I can never watch these movies, even though I’ve seen them so many times, without writhing in my seat. THAT’S what makes a horror movie good.

Worst Horror Movie Seen – Species Series or Dead&Rotting/Stitches

I keep seeing people say the two movies, Dellamorte Dellamore and Tenebre are among their favorites. Looks like its time to do some movie hunting…

You think Dawn Of The Dead remake is one of the best films? laughing
have you even seen the original?

I mean don't get me wrong, I like the remake but there are a lot of movies that are way better.

And yes Dellamorte Dellamore aka Cemetery Man is a great movie, especially if you like zombies, it is getting an official release in R1 land in late summer 05

And Tenebre is a top notch giallo no doubt about it.
