anthony hopkins is a ventriliquist/magician and the pressure eventually makes him go a little wacky. he gets bigger and gets on tv shows and what not.
in a way it has a little love story encorporated into it, when he goes to check up on an old high school crush and get away from the fame and finds she has a husband, but is never really home, push comes to shove blah blah.. and there are some parts when you begin to wonder if the dummy is real or not.
