Subspecies series was pretty consistent.
Howling series was pretty good when I was a kid. Random stories.

Friday the 13th, only for Robert Englund's role. He provides the guilty pleasure that comes with the territory of hacking up nubile teens.

HEAVILY mixed up.
And my favorite is Halloween without a doubt. It all originated from Michael (which lead to Jason which lead to Freddy) and plus, he has the most badass mask amongst all the other killers.

The Freddy Kreuger films for me, although that being said I haven't seen any Jason or Myers stuff.
Probably after that the Saw films are also good to watch, just for the traps and horrible situations people get put into (rather them than me).

I've found the Saw films to be terribly redundant & boring.

Nightmare on Elm Street series, but most of the different series have more duds than excellent films. So can't think of a horror franchise where I have enjoyed every single film.

Exactly....consistent horror series are rare as can be.
That's why I chose Subspecies
Actually Full Moon Entertainment did an awesome job at making good series.
Hammer horror Draculas get an honourable mention.

Oo I forgot Scream, well a trilogy, but since the 4th is on the way... I enjoyed all three, not as much as the first though, but still adore the trilogy.

I'll go with Romero's Dead Series.
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Day of the Dead
Land of the Dead
Diary of the Dead
Survival of the Dead
But I haven't seen 'Survival of the Dead' yet.
Edit: Actually, the 28 day/week/month trilogy will probably be my favorite trilogy franchise when the third film comes out.
