Old horror movie where only the black guy lives
Ok, I saw this old horror movie back in the 80's where only the black guy lives. Its about a group home run by a very stern older woman who seems to have complete control over all the patients. A visitor comes to the home and is trapped there when she finds out that the stern older woman is really a patient herself and the real manager of the home is tied up in the basement. After a lot of hacking and slashing in the end there is a large black guy who was slightly retarded ends up to be the only survivor. The last scene shows him sitting down to eat a popsicle and crying. It was so long ago I cant remember but I think it was in black and white.
Also 2nd Fright Night movie was about a guy that gets executed against a tree stump, before he dies he swears to come back and get everyone who killed him. He comes back as a tree stump and kills them all.

I really want to say this is Don't Look In The Basement (1973) It wasn't in black and white but everything you point out seems straight out of this film, down to the popsicle!
