No! Not as groundbreaking, or shocking or stuff like that, of course, but it's a natural development; more influenced by Television than any other band this time. It's not hugely original, but ALL the songs are great, Casablancas' songwriting skills really shine.

Yep, great album by a great band. I like that they didn't do a huge change to their sound. I hate when bands change when "if it ain't broke don't fix it"......see Radiohead.

Except, no. It's good when bands try something completely new..and Radiohead has been 100% succesful with each new direction. But the strokes are still in the time when they can make this kind of album and still be brilliant. For the next one, though, they must of course be even more creative.
