Bad Religion

Got any other fans of this band, their music is pretty politically motivated - which is an area i try to stray away from when listeing to music, but with ripping guitar solos and Greg Graffins strong vocals their music is pretty genius, they are virtually unheard of in the UK, but i rank their 'Process of Belief' album as one of the best albums ever, it has a rarity that you can listein to every track without been pushed to skip certain ones.

I love Bad Religion, but unlike you, I actually love political messages and such. Bad Religion are like the godfathers of punk, and Process of Belief was a good album, yes. Not their best, but good nonetheless. I can't wait to see them again at Warped Tour this year. New album drops this year.

I bought Process of Belief a few days ago. Great album.

I actually don't like a whole lot of punk, but Bad Religion is an exception... Great sound, great lyrics. Overall they're miles ahead of most of the crap you see today.

dont have a "favourite" but i must say, suffer really defined the "three minute punk song" style that is now so rampant. cool album though

Still totally underrated and the 'real' face of political punk.

They are awesome but all my friends love them so I wouldn't call them underrated. They get plenty of credit at my school at least.

Probably where you live or at least in your social circumference but generally they are totally underrated, but then again i read they don't want to be commercially big, as it defeats Bad Religions ultimate purpose for being there.

Yeah that figures. But I would love it if they got commercially big instead of bands like GC getting all the glory and recognition while bands like Bad Religion deserve it more.

I dunno, although I'd like to see Bad Religion get more media recognition, i wouldn't like to see them become commercially big (which is impossible because one usually follows the other) because to me thats not what Bad Religion is. Greg (Graffan) and the guys set up BR to make a stance on the world as we see it today something like commercialisation could seriously under mime there original intentions.

Well I know what you mean about not wanting them to become commercial, because once they get on one of the big time labels they have an agenda already written out for them and the band couldn't be as unique. But I wish (and I know its a fantasy) that the fact was the better a band is the more money and recognition they get.

Yeh with everything thats being going on in the last few months/years you would've thought BR would have taken a more centre stage - frankly it is almost there expertise i.e. political satire and media sanctioning and with everyone from Eminem to erm Busted getting involved in some way or another you'd have thought Bad Religion would have got a 'say in the matter'.
