The Prodigy

ok, i cant hold it in ne longer....dont care if no1 replies, just need to say this.

The Prodigy have created some of the best music ever to come out of Britain, full stop lol!
They revolutionised the Rave scene in England during the 90's imo, their music was fresh and original in what seemed like a wave of sameness (pardon shit use of wordage lol).

1st Album - The Prodigy Experience, pure class...back to back classics, Jericho, Music Reach, Charly, Fire, Ruff in the jungle to name the best lol
Before Keith started to do vocals, and was purely a dancer.... by far the best album
2nd Album - Music for the jilted generation, alot more up tempo, bigger beats etc...but not as good as Experience imo, still a very very good album - stil a load of good songs that still remain popular today (because this was their first majorly popular and wide spread album) - Break and Enter (omg, what a tune.....imo 1 of the best songs theyve done...8mins of pure class), No Good, Poison......probably their second best album, altho its tight to call.. This and Fat of the land are tied i think...i cant call it sorry stick out tongue
3rd Album - The Fat of the Land, Keith is now on vocals.....this album has all the popular songs uve probably heard lol, breathe, deisel power, smack my ***** up, Firestarter, Mindfeilds. The popular album, full of songs that shall remain classics (at least in my eyes) for the forseeable future.

ok now onto the main part..... if ne1 likes Prodigy here.. please list ur top 5 songs by them stick out tongue and add anything u want about em or whatever, basically discuss whatever u like lol, hardly expect many people to reply neway stick out tongue

1)Jericho
2)Break And Enter
3)Breathe
4)Deisel power
5)Music Reach

ive heard it all b4 EB....Iron maiden, The Beatles...

all "classics" but not actually as musically impressive. The Beatles were mediocre musicians, same as Iron Maiden. they just arrived at a good time. Same with nirvana - shit band, good timing...so they become legends.

i wont argue and say the 2 bands listed above are bad, theyre not - theyre legends, but not for their musical ability - they made a few decent songs that went down as legendary.

Altho The Prodigy havent had any "legendary" songs (bar maybe Smack my ***** up, but thats mainly for the video neway...the video IS top quality, shocking, unique etc) they have produced consistently high quality music, from a musical point of view..not a genre orientated or in the case of Nirvana/maybe the beatles, a time based 1 (Nirvana came at a time where the world needed a new genre, and they gave it to them...i can name countless bands that are "better" than nirvana, but wont be as well recognised because they didnt come at the same time/do what nirvana did..)

They may not be the most well recognised or "best" band to come out of britain, but they sure as hell make some of the best music...
The Beatles were a good band, The Prodigy make great music..
imo theres a slight difference between them 2, maybe its just me - but i cant describe it very well so you'll have to use your imagination a bit stick out tongue

nice list Stinkfist, Mindfeilds is quality song smile
ill be honest and say i was half expecting sumthing like, Firestarter, breathe, Smack my ***** up, voodoo people, Charly / all the popular songs... hehe, sorry im just being bitchy and not meaning just u, but from what ive seen theres mostly rock/rap fans here and am surprised to see sum1 posting a good list on here lol :P

George Harrison is a very good guitarist.

Paul McCarteny is a very good bassist.

Ringo sucked at drums

the thing that made the beatles above the rest of their peers was their songwriting. And the fact that all their albums came in a six year span, with good to great albums every time. no one else can claim that.

The WHo, The Kinks, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton...they are all better than Prodigy

I liked "Swamp Thing..." the Beatles were good, but lets be honest, Status Quo are the best band ever... I know tons of people who have heard of the Beatles, but can't tell you on eof their songs, but everyone knows "Rocking all over the World" or "Whatever you Want..."

i can ask 100 people who Status Quo is and what those songs are, and maybe 10 will know.

if i ask 100 people about Hey Jude, Yesterday, or All you Need is Love, probably 70 will know

Well, I conducted a straw poll with 20 eleven to fourteen year olds, and all of them knew at least one Quo song.... only seven knew a Beatles song when they heard it, and five of them didn't know who it was by....
