REM are one of my favourite bands, and since they have a new single and album coming out I thought Id ask what everyone else's opinion on them is. Personally, I love them, and I think they're new song, Leaving New York, is beautifull. What does everyone else think?

One of my all time favourite bands and it was Pete Buck who inspired me to learn guitar. I prefer their early stuff. Favourite album is "Reckoning" and my favourite song is "Seven Chinese Brothers" I once camped out overnight at Glasgows Exhibition Centre to queue for concert tickets only to have their concert cancelled due to Bill Berrys brain aneurysm.
