Question A Perfect Circle OR Tool?

Please note: this is not a "bashing" thread or anything of the sort.
I am a fan of both great bands but personally prefer Tool. On some other fansite boards I go on, fans of both seem to prefer APC more (I found this slightly peculiar) So I just wanted to ask Tool and APC FANS on this board to share their opinion...
If you like neither bands, don't bother posting "they both bite" or anything of that intellect.

I think Tool are far superior musically and Maynard's lyrics are about more meaningful things in general and to me, in Tool.

I really love Mer De Noms and Thirteenth Step though, two of my fav albums.

You're going to make me choose between the two?

I like Tool better, but it's veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery close.

I HAVE been listening to APC nonstop for the past two weeks though. Dunno why but I'm currently obsessed with them.

TOOL. Dunno why, but I don't get caught up in APC's songs as well as I do in Tool songs.

I like them both, and I really can't say thats whats best because they are so different. Tool is harder and more intense, but the lyrics and feel or APC is more medatative and clamer.

I love both bands, but I would have to say Tool hands down.

They have the same singer, and that's pretty much all they have in common. I hate it when people compare the two.

But yeah, Tool all the way ninja

Not even remotely close. As great as APC are, the only thing keeping them within driving distance is having the same frontman.

Though I'd add Magdalena, The Package, and Pet.
