Tricky, Massive Attack, Portishead.
To a lesser degree: Hooverphonic, Sunna.

No, it's not. DJ Shadow is more or less instrumental/experimental hip hop. Not trip hop.

Sunna isn't trip-hop to any extent you human germ.
DJ Shadow isn't.
It's basically not really hip-hop at all. It's 'trippy', ambient music, often with samples. Trip-hop isn't that helpful of a label.
The best albums are Maxinquaye by Tricky, or Dummy by Portishead. Massive Attack are thereabouts too.

I was pretty much referring to Entroducing.
RJD2's albums are ok but they're not really "instrumental hip hop," cause most of the time they have vocals, just not a rapper with a verse. That makes it not really an instrumental. It's more electro pop than it is hip hop.

Way to divert the argument. Since i think it's boring you immediately blame it on my comprehension. It's kinda like when someone tells a bad joke and nobody laughs, so they jump into "you don't get it" mode. I get it, it's just not funny.

Well, if you said you found it not to your taste, fair enough. You said it puts you to sleep, which clearly means something else doesn't it?
What's the common connection with "zzzzzz"? Being bored. This suggests that yes, you have a problem comprehending the album.
