 playing the blues

i know there are alot of musician and in particular, guitarists on kmc

i was wondering if any of you are proficient at using a slide and if so what tips could you give me for playing the blues

i've raised the action on my guitar and detuned to DADF#AD and sounds pretty cool

just hoping for some more tips

and do any of you use a dobro...ive been considering getting one but am not sure what to look for quality wise
