This band in my opinion is nothing short of amazing. As of now, they are my favorite band and I consider them the most talented group I have ever heard. Sadly, not many people have heard of them.
Seriously? Well maybe not in the American teen society. I've talked about them with many of my peers and none have heard of them before I introduced them to them.
I started to listen to them about 1 and a half year ago from a friend who introduced me about them.
I bought their latest album when it was released, called Octavarium. The first song "The Root Of All Evil" is a very dark and heavy song which is continued by a nice-tuned piano ballad called "The Answer Lies Within". "These Walls" and "I Walk Beside You" are very pop-oriented but still good listening to. "Panic Attack" the title speaks for itself . "Never Enough" is a groovy song and the middle part is kinda bizarre. Jordan (keyboardist) and Petrucci(guitarist) does play hell of a lots of notes. "Sacrificed Sons" is an 10-minute epic song. The 24-minute long title track "Octavarium" is what every DT fan can wish: beauty melodies, weirdness, heavyness and emotional.
I recommend you guys to get this album now.
