Most Controversial Song

What's the most controversial song you've ever seen or heard? I personally think Madonna's video (Forgot the name, sorry)the one where she was fully naked and was also dressed up as a catwoman look alike was pretty weird and offensive.

But what do you think?

Why did that Madonna video offend you?

I'm not offended by any music or such, so I can't really say.

There's a difference between being controversial in the worthwhile sense, and the Marilyn Manson kind of "I'm going to tear up a bible, knowing that it will get a reaction.".

Controversy, to me, is raising or producing ideas that cause a lot of interest and reasonable discussion. Not needlessly pissing people off. I don't consider Anal C*nt to be controversial, I'd consider Morrissey to be controversial sometimes.

I just got the lyrics to that song translated, they're not even about anything controversial.

So who do you think has a controversial song, InnerRise?

An actual one, not just a song you like.

Cite reason also.

Imagine by John Lennon, horribly obvious choice, I know. Oh, and Paint a Vulgar Picture by The Smiths.

F*ck the Police by N.W.A. is probably one of the best examples in hip hop.

'97 Bonnie and Clyde by Eminem. The whole "Telling his daughter about how they're going to go dump her mother's body in the water." thing.

Angel of Death by Slayer. Talking about Josef Mengele and his human experiments on jews during World War II.

I was definitely going to say "Angel of Death".

"F*ck the Police" definitely came to mind when HA mentioned NWA. Imagine is definitely a good call and probably the most obvious one. Lennon's "God" also comes to mind.

Venom's entire album "Welcome to Hell" definitely comes to mind. "Sons of Satan" and "In League With Satan" were definitely controversial at their time. They were probably the first band to fully embrace the full on Satanist thing.

I think that sparked the biggest controversy yet whether someone should be killed for creating shit music or whether their fans should just be tortured.

i thought Guns n Roses "look at your game girl" was controvertial not because of the song content...but because of the writer...i also think it was a cheap publicity stunt and an ill thought out idea as well

yea, but imo it was done just for the reaction... i know he said 'people cant see the beauty of the song' or something like that, but he knew full well it'd get a reaction and that's why he released it... not because the song was good.

What I posted wasn't sh@t, unlike your "striving for attention" post. Do I know you? No. You're done.

The only thing true thing in your post is that your reply and some others actually were sh@t replies.........but I already knew that.

Now you're done.

If I could just list all the underground grindcore and thrashcore lyrics....... I don't think I could ever make a decision on most controversial.
