Hellyeah is a heavy metal supergroup, consisting of Mudvayne vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell, Damageplan bassist Bob Zilla, and former Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul.

Paul described the band's sound as "a familiar groove, with a new sound". Blabbermouth.net reviewer Done Kaye commented "with little of the complexity of Mudvayne or angularity of Nothingface and much more of the full-on, pedal-to-the-metal style of Vinnie Paul's previous work" However, Kaye said the songs "Star" and "Thank You" border on musical cliché. Andrew Depedro of KNAC.com stated ""Alcohaulin' Ass" showcases Gray’s hidden talent as an outlaw country and western-type crooner in the intro", although thought the band's lyrics were repetitive.
I just bought the album today and I was actually pleased with what I heard. Has anyone else heard of them?

I think Down are awesome, I thought Pantera were great, Mastodon are one of my favourite bands.
I just think Hellyeah make shit music. That said, I think Vinnie Paul is just capitalising on everyone liking him more cos he's Dime's brother. I lost respect for him when he sold an unreleased Dimebag solo to Nickelback.
That still staggers me. So much head shaking when i heard about that.

I am aware that "your" should be "you're," and while I know I should change it as not to offend the grammar fans around the boards, school always said not to bow to peer pressure so it stays as it is
I haven't heard much of them. The music was decent, but the problem with it is that its boring. It isnt necessarily bad music, its just I have heard it all a million times. Hellyeah is a boring band, and I could definitely live without em.
