Complete EU noob has a question
Are there any star wars books/comics that GL has written or are part of the actual continuity besides Ep I-VI?

No, the only book George Lucas wrote is the original novelization for A New Hope.

They are, but it's all quasi canon unless it's the movies. While arguably ANH novel is as canon as EU can get (Because Georgey wrote it himself... man, you can tell, too) the rest, whether it's comics, novels, books, games, even the Clone Wars cartoon is considered quasi canon. That is, it's part of the continuity unless the movies are contradicted. For example, a book can't come out between ESB and ROTJ where Luke dies and Obi-Wan comes back to life, buys a house, and kicks Vader's ass.

Sure it can come out, it just won't be cannon at all and should not be seen as such
