Quinlan Vos... dead or alive!??!

Okay, I have heard that Star Wars Republic is supposed to be about Quin and how he survives the purge and so on (in the next couple issues or so)... YET, in the Episode Three graphic novel, it clearly showed him dying. I know it was him, and he got vaporized by a tank in it. Did the creators of the Episode Three graphic novel make a mistake, or is he really dead?

Then why are their upcoming comics that take place after ROTS with him in it?

If he is in it, then it is to be considered AU.
The Comic Book guys were right to put him in there, because he was originally slated to be killed in the movie. But, Lucas never fully realized the scene on film, and cut it out. wink
So, officially, Vos is dead.
