The salaries of the Old Republic

I am concerned. The future of the Jedi Order does not look good at all.

According to my sources, Padawans salary is only about $48,000 in a year. Jedi Knight earns some annual $77,000. But here comes the shock... Jedi master only receives $78,000!

Thats 1000$ more in a year... But helluva lot more responsibility!

For comparison, Palpatine gets the average Chancellor salary of $57,000 and Amidala is really tight on money too with anual $30,000.

Dex from episode 2 appears to net $71,000 which is over 2 times the senators wage!
But Jabba is a crime lord and it shows: $99,000 annual income!


Apparently obi Wan has a special condition with $32,000 anual.

So either the Jedi Order is screwing the Jedi union wage rates, or there is something bad going on!

What are these salaries based on? What exactly is the exchande rate from dollars to credits?

They do. But it's in Corellain local credits. What with the continuous negative fluctuations in the system, its permanently depreciated in value.

Surely the Jedi got a little spending money for, like, restaurants and stuff. Maybe a movie now and then. Unless the Temple had its own theater. Which I would not put it past them.
