Sever Force in Book of the Sith

I've heard Sever Force is explained as cutting the target's midi-chlorian count in half in Book of the Sith. Does anyone have the quote?

This is the source I heard it from:

Sever Force. This removes a Jedi’s ability to use the Force, and was introduced in the Tales of the Jedi comics during the 1990s. Given what we’ve learned of the Force since then, I added the detail that this works by triggering a mass die-off of the subject’s midi-chlorians."

Sever Force is likely the most inconsistent power in Star Wars in regards to how it works and what it does.

How many contradictions are there?

TOTJ's version, KotOR II's version, BoS' version, and NJO's version.

What's the NJO version?

NJO version is sort of like putting a block between the Force-user and the Force.

It's not lethal and removable (as in you can un-Sever them).

More like putting a block in the portion of their brain that communicates with the midichlorians in the body, which in turn communicate with the Force.

The BoS explanation is by far the dumbest, though. The mass-killing of midichlorians in the body wouldn't just sever your connection to the Force, it would kill you lmfao.

The most consistent explanation of Sever Force is simply blocking somebody's connection/access to the Force, which is how it's supported by the vast majority of sources (that I'm aware of).
