Why does Dooku always take a backseat to the others?
Not speaking about fighting ability or anything like that.
I came across a couple of Sith T shirts; one was in reservoir dogs style and the other one was stylized like KISS and I notice in mainstream media that Maul is always featured, Vader of course is always featured and Sidious has become more featured since the PT but Dooku is usually left out?
Why does Dooku get the short end of the stick? IS he not as recognized as a Sith to the general public? Does no one care about the great Chris Lee?!?! Even in Canon he's not recognized as a Sith Lord really; they couldn't even connect him to Tyranus until TCW came around
Maul is a spike-headed alien with cool tattoos, Vader is a massive armoured beast with a terrifying expressionless mask, and Sidious is a hooded sorcerous emperor with sunken eyes.
Dooku is merely Christopher Lee in his later years with a lightsaber and a fairly plain outfit. He didn't have a look that could become iconic and instantly recognizable like the others, his design was just too low-key and subtle.
Pretty much this, the other 3 had these menacing and cool appearances. Dooku was just there, he didn't really make a stand out appearance, which is what people want apparently. I mean look at Boba Fett, he literally was in a handful of scenes and didn't really do much, yet he garnered a large following because of his appearance which was cool.
Probably because he didn't show much in the films.

A feeling of fullness, of power, of dark and demon mastery -- of secret lusts, unrestrained passion, wild submission -- all these things were in Vader's heart as he neared his Emperor. These things and more."
