Let's say you were in charge making a fleet of ships, how would yours be? I would choose these ships
Gunship: Braha'tok class gunship
Corvette/Frigate: DP20 Frigate
Frigate/Cruiser: Carrack-Class Light Cruiser
Cruiser: Immobilizer 418 Cruiser
Heavy Cruiser: Refit Acclamator 2 Star destroyer.
"Star Destroyer" or Battleship: Refit Victory II
Battlecruiser: Allegiance class battlecruiser
Dreadnaught: Bellator class star destroyer
Fleet Carrier: Lucrehulk class battleship
By refit for the Acclamator 2 id remove all transport capabilities for guns, making it a full dedicated warship. I'd add 50% more guns on a victory 2, unless for some reason I can't.
Starfighters that I would have are shielded TIE Interceptors and TIE Schimitar bombers.
My fleet is meant to be cheap but effective and powerful, putting heavy emphasis on anti star fighter capabilities while also having strong warships.
I'd also have an.extremely scaled down superlaser for my Bellator, which would have the capability of crippling dreadnaughts at 100%

Not a bad fleet. I’d replace the Lukrehulk with several Venators though. For the cost, you could get a couple at least instead of a Lukrehulk, which would give you greater manoeuvrability and firepower. They can carry about 1/3 of the Lukrehulk’s capacity, but can also carry far more advance fighters than just Vultures.
AFAIK we still don’t know enough about the Bellator to decide whether it’s a ship worth picking or not. Could always go with the original Viscount if not, that was a brilliant ship.

They are angry because they have been forced to recognize that their hour has arrived; that the time has come to surrender power to Shimrra and the new order."
Finally a comment that is not retarded.
Good job, Az.

A good fleet would include a fast ship, a big ship, and a ship capable of doing a lot of damage. And just lots of other ships just to make the fleet look big.
A big ship is a super star destroyer
A fast ship is not any particular type of ship but any relatively small ship with a good hyperdrive
A ship capable of damage is world devastator.
And lots of smaller ships are basically all you need to complete a fleet which in my opinion would serve just fine.
I haven't looked into the technology of star wars in ages, so I wasn't too smart about this, so sorry for the low-quality post, but I wanted to say something, so I said it.
Mine would mirror the Seventh Fleet, more or less.
Star Destroyer-sized capital ships and large numbers of supporting starfighters are the most efficient and flexible naval array for both deterrent and combat.

The only fleet any sensible military commander would need in Star Wars is a swarm of remotely controlled or autonomously controlled chunks of dense metal with hyperdrives attached to them. There is no point to stunt fighters, bombers or capital ships when you can annihilate entire fleets for a fraction of their cost.
At best you may need one or two large transports to house the projectiles.

Just give me an Imperial Fleet(Legends). Done and done, all bases are essentially covered. Abit at least 2 of the ISDs would have a wing of TIE Advanced x1 and TIE Phantoms. The rest would be with Interceptors.
